Recently while visiting my daughter at college station I had the pleasure of eating at your restaurant. I started off with the quail legs which were amazing. Anyone thinking about eating here you have to get the quail legs!!! I ordered the ribeye ( rare) with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The broccolini was fantastic. Also the cornbread was over the top. I personally don’t like cornbread and ate all of it.

My husband and I loved Porters. He ate the chicken fried steak and I ate the crab cakes. We shared the house salad. The restaurant is charming and our server was very prompt and helpful. The manager even checked on us. I highly recommend this fine dining experience.

Gave this place a second chance at a celebration dinner (against my better judgment but options for steakhouse/fine dining are somewhat limited here) The hostess' are wonderful at greeting and our server was kind, the bar runs very slow on getting drinks and the steaks were not cooked to correct temperature with no apology and delayed replacement (everyone was finishing their meal while 2 others were still waiting for the replacement steaks and sides were then cold. Very unimpressed overall.

From the moment you step in, it's evident that this place is a shining star in the culinary scene and a true gem in the College Station area. The menu is a symphony of flavors. My favorites are the indulgent Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, the refreshing Heirloom Tomato Cruise, and the mouthwatering Bourbon-Glazed Bone-in Pork Chop. And for dessert, the peach cobbler! And let's talk about the cornbread – it's nothing short of superb! Each bite is a delightful journey of taste and texture. The staff and service consistently earn a solid five stars from me; they exceed my expectations every time, turning each dining experience into something truly fantastic. The ambiance at Porters is a perfect blend of dim and elegant. It sets the stage for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. Special mention goes to Hunter, the sommelier, whose charm and extensive food pairing knowledge elevate the dining experience every time. If you have not visited yet, please check it out.

Some of the best staff I have ever had the privilege of having served me amazing selection of food and wine with amazing managers, who make the experience one of a kind.

My husband took me on an amazing date night to Porters. We had a reservation and were promptly greeted and seated. The waiter gave us excellent recommendations on before dinner drinks and wine. The food was spectacular! Our dessert and house specialty after-dinner drinks sealed the deal-we will be back!!

WOW! What an excellent dining experience. I tried Porters for the first time after graduating from Texas A&M, and now I have to come back everytime I'm in town. The entire Porters team, especially the wine director, Hunter, have made coming back everytime a unique treat. Get any (and I mean any) steak, and you will be in for a treat!

Beautiful restaurant, service was fantastic and everything we ate was perfect. The brussel sprouts were delicious and the wine list is amazing. Will definitely be back again and again.

We were really excited to try this place. To start our waiter was extremely slow and our drinks were always empty. He forgot to mention that there were off menu steak options and we had to ask him what they were. As we were there, we were noticing all the servers constantly dropping off food at the wrong tables and having to remake food because of it. Our order took extremely long to come out and I’m wondering if they delivered our food the wrong table and had to remake it. I ordered the 22 oz dry aged ribeye. Steak looked great when they first brought it out and then I tried to cut into it and it was extremely tough. Out of the 22 ounces there was approximately about 5 ounces of edible meat on this entire steak. It was just a really bad cut of beef with multiple tendons and extremely fatty. I let the waiter know, he took the plate back with the majority of the steak on it, and a lady manager came out to speak with us and apologized. But all she had to say is with the ribeyes it’s always a hit or miss, they never know if they’re gonna have a good cut or not. But that was all. She didn’t ask to remake the steak. She didn’t ask to comp part of the steak. She just apologized and walked off! I told my wife, oh she probably will give us like a discount or offer us a desert. So the waiter came back and dropped off our bill with no discounts or the manager coming back and checking on us. I was in shock how the manager handled the his situation but then it dawned on me why this place has such horrible service and made so many mistakes! It’s completely mismanaged with people who have no problem solving skills. We were in town for one night and had planned on eating brunch there the next morning as well but after that major fail we definitely decided not to do that. I would not recommend this place to anyone especially for their price point!

The ambience is nice, and the servers try their best, despite not understanding where to place a drink when serving (upper right hand side of diner's setting). The food is heavy with butter and oil, or it is way too sweet. I have gone there several times over the past several year, and the menu never changes or innovates. It was a Sunday night, and many much better alternative are closed. Otherwise, it is not worth going. They seem to be coasting on their location and have never been able to produce a tasty meal with service that matches the ambience.

Food was excellent. Sea Bass was the best I've ever had! Cornbread is always the best. Food took an awhile (which is good for fine dining) but slower overall than we had expected.
