Steph at the register was very disrespectful! This review is for you specifically because your display of “customer service” was inexcusable.
The line was long, cellular service was bad, and my card stays locked. The closer I get to the register, I pull my phone out to unlock my card. Of course I can’t get into the app to unlock because the service is bad in the store. I definitely should’ve unlocked it way before this but I didn’t. It still doesn’t excuse the rudeness I received. I got to the register, she checks a price for an item that didn’t have a tag and rings everything up. I still wasn’t able to unlock my card. She’s the only one at the register and the line is long… I understood her frustration. I simply asked her to just give me one more minute to get it unlocked. She then said, “well you’re going to have to go to the back of the like.” I said, “okay, I’m not going to the back of the line, just give me one minute and I’ll have it unlocked.” She huffed with more frustration and then just suspended my transaction and yelled “Next!” I was like okay whatever and said “you know what I just won’t get it because you’re being so rude about it.” As I’m walking out, she says, “well you should’ve thought about that before you got in line.” I stopped and turned and immediately asked for the manager. She then said, “what do you need a manager for?” I said, “ma’am please call your manager!” She then says, “we’re busy right now and my manager doesn’t have time for this!” I paused because I was about to react in a way that would cause a scene. I stood there for another 2 minutes asking for a manager before she finally called a manager. I spoke to the manager and explained everything to her and how that I was about to react a certain way because of how rude Steph was. I think I even cursed while explaining everything. She was nice but also seemed as though she was unbothered by everything. She apologized and offered to check me out, I declined even though I did get into the app to unlock my card. The manager said, “I will talk to her and I hope you’re able to calm down.” The manager, I’ve seen her before and has always been very friendly at the register. I shop here a lot and honestly I’m unsure if I’ll return. Steph doesn’t need to be at the register! Her behavior was unacceptable and had she caught me in a different mood, who knows how I would’ve handled that situation. Definitely filling a complaint.
