Ended up needing stitches at my original visit. Was specifically instructed to follow up back here in 10 days for suture removal and was led to believe that it was just a follow up and removal was included in original charges. When I came back to follow up they said it would be ANOTHER $300 ER Co-Pay. If I would have been told this at the original visit I could have scheduled with my doctor for a $10 co-pay. Now it’s Saturday with an impending ice storm and I have no way to get my sutures out. I’ve had stitches two other times and have never had to pay to get them removed, let alone pay $300. Also, the nurse on my original visit was super rude in the beginning. She warmed up eventually, but dang. When you’re at an ER you’re obviously stressed already and attitude like that doesn’t help anything.

Emergency room is a joke. I spent 4 hours and left feeling worse than when k came in. Didn’t leave with any medication- no follow up plan was provided to me. I will never go here ever again. Avoid avoid avoid!!! I can’t stress this enough.

Nice doctors but I got charged 500$ only for them to not even try to figure out what is wrong with me and prescribe me a medicine I already have that hasn’t worked, which I told them multiple times. Refused to give me an alternative medicine so am still suffering from extremely severe pain. I do not recommend this place. They blew me off simply because I couldn’t give them a stool sample RIGHT THEN so they sent me home.

If possible go to another ER. This place was in my plan and should be covered under the ER deductible which I paid but then continued to receive a total of an additional $200 in bills that were not covered. There was no control over tests or services paid. This was not the fault of my health insurance it was how Baylor bills to maximize thier income to the cost of us patients.

Visited for bowel issues, was told by the doctor that it was not serious since there were no immediate symptoms at that specific time. She offered me only pay the 100$ visit fee and nothing else to be charged if I left.I decided to leave and wait it out. Turns out it was not okay I ended up being seen somewhere else at a later time.Fast forward to now and I receive a 500$, 400$, 407$ bill (ever-changing)Won’t give me the bill for the services performed, wasn’t so much as even touched by a doctor or physician.Be very careful. Credit is gone

DON'T GO THERE. I visited on a Sunday due to an injury...broken arm. The staff is nice enough. "Yes. You have broken arm. Here are 4 pain pills. See YOUR doctor as soon as you can." The problem is their billing. I have insurance. I paid $400 at the time of service and walked away with a credit card receipt. 5 months later, I am still trying to get a copy of my bill for my car insurance. I called the billing number provided by the ER location. I called and was told I needed to to be transferred to another dept. I was given a fax number to fax a request for an itemized bill. 4 months later, I have received a denial in the mail. "We are unable to fulfill your request." Their 3rd party record company must get a HIPAA form from me. I find this out 4 months after I sent a fax.(I faxed about 4 times. This response is the result of the first one. I wrote 2nd, 3rd, etc attempt on each try. The copy they provided didn't have those.) An X-Ray and 4 pain pills were thousands of dollars. Don't go there.Update: 2 months later there is still no response to my inquiry or to the “contact us” link they provided in their response. Obviously no one at that company cares.

Came in for what it turns out was a neck sprain and received an $8,000+ bill.Upon my arrival to the facility, I checked in at the front desk and paid my emergency room deductible of $500 — ouch okay. An X-ray and a few labs later, no diagnosis. Went home with a prescription for a muscle relaxant. While the staff was attentive to the condition at the time, the bill arrives a few weeks later for $8,245!When asked ER billing department representative to see the itemized bill of services they refused. I’ve done work in the medical diagnostic field and knew that test they were charging over $3,000 don’t go above $285-$500 tops.I contacted my insurance provider to establish a formal complaint against Baylor Scot & White ER with notes and documentation of my visit, and after insurance gave me the itemized bill they received, I noticed as suspected EXTRA test and procedures beyond the basic scope and the chief complaint stated during my visit, which I would also note were performed without my consent and were different from what Dr. Patel had mentioned he was going to request during my visit. At that time, I attempted to once more confront Baylor Scot & White ER billing department about the discrepancy in their billing but received a number to call that always sent me to an answering machine. Went over this process for about 3 weeks and never got a call back from them.To this day, I do not feel a neck sprain justified them charging $8,700. Will never go back to this place!I would not recommend this place unless you are literally dying and unconscious and thus cannot wait to get into an actual hospital ER that can perform the correct work necessary and bill the correct amount for yourself and insurance. If you want to be blindsided by bills from several provides and be robbed without impunity, Baylor Scott & White Emergency Department is the right place for you. If not, look elsewhere for your healthcare needs.

Most of the staff, save, the nurse were brusk and dry. The physician, Dr. Bollinger is disinterested and also brusk. Bollinger functions in an urgent care capacity, and is only able to order labs beyond the basic and the chief complaint statedby the patient, also functions as the medical diagnosis. Nausea and vomiting. Genius. He Not ask much of her past history of Adrenal issues and possible adrenal insufficiency and refused to give her any corticosteroids. He only gave a single bag of IV fluids and a single dose of Zofran. Why not just hire an NP at this facility instead? No pillows were available. I brought my own blanket. This place charges over 1300.00 for very basic care and I now wonder about them calling themselves an ER, when they can only handle very low level issues. They can give IV fluids where CareNow cannot. Otherwise, I see no difference, except in the price. I would not recommend this place unless you cannot wait to get into an actual hospital ER that can perform all of the lab work necessary for a complete diagnosis rather than treating only the minimal symptoms of Nausea and vomiting and thinking you did something. NAUSEA AND VOMITING IS NOT A “medical diagnosis”.

This is the third time Dr. Bolinger has just left me untreated and sent me home. He acts unconcern and careless. He didn’t even prescribe medication. He is the worst.

If I could give negative stars I would. I had a car accident a few days ago. I go in cause I'm starting to hurt now In my back and hip. I was in there for 15 mins total. And 10mins if that was all filling out paperwork. The doctor came in asked a couple questions felt some areas that hurt really bad and then said nothings broke just take some ibuprofen and rest. Complete waste of time. Will never go back to this ER.

Very unprofessional. I went I and the “med-tech” stated that he knew he was going to have problems getting an iv on me because I don’t work out and my arms are not toned. Nice!!! Between him and the nurse I was poked 9 times with a ton of bruises. They also said that I shouldn’t be on google when I spoke medical terminally, but little did they not know I am a nurse that worked in a busy hospital. That’s how I know what veins to use and after 9 pokes guess what vein they got ?? Yeah the one I told them. I than wanted to say if they where a San Antonio nurse they would have gotten it within two tries but I was more concerned about what was going on with myself. I can tell this new move if gonna be fun times!! Well at least a nurse came rolling into this place that knows how to start an iv!!!

I arrived with an injury and possible broken bones. Reception was very professional and got me registered in minutes. I was taken back immediately and everyone was very caring and professional. Dr. Patel responded quickly and ordered X-rays. Overall I am very satisfied with how fast they handle incoming patients. I have brought my daughter here on two other occasions with breathing issues and they immediately jump into action. I have never experienced anyone being incompetent or challenging as other reviews have mentioned. I have not experienced billing issues either and will update this review if I receive an unexpected or questionable bill from this trip. The facility is probably 7 years old and looks brand new. It's also incredibly clean.

Went in with severe abdominal pain. The nurse and doctor were AWESOME. I am 52yo and I this is the first time I have ever been in a hospital where I did not feel like I was in the way. Regardless of whatever else might have been happening, the nurse, Kirsty, and Doctor were patient, thorough, answered all questions, were genuinely concerned that my pain was managed.

Staff was knowledgable and caring. They treat you in one room by bringing whatever is needed to diagnose and treat. I was in and out in a very reasonable amount of time on a Sunday of a holiday weekend.
