It was so good and even the grandkids age 14, 7, and 4 loved it.Kid-friendliness: Treated the grandkids like they were special guests.

I got the spicy tonkotsu ramen. Worst ramen I’ve had. Noodles tasted old. Broth was super oily. Also, the water they gave me had a moldy taste.

Found a hair in 2 different entrees during our lunch there!Let me first start by stating that we have been to Kanta several times and have never previously had any issues. The food is always fresh and authentic with good service. However, my group of 5 went there today and had a much different experience. We ordered apps and drinks and all was well. However, when our entrees came out my wife took 2 bites of her cashew chicken enteee and then found a black hair in it. Obviously this was not great; however, we understand that things happen. Then, while waiting for the waitress to come back and inform her, my step son found a hair in his sweet and sour chicken as well! So at this point we were all pretty disgusted. When the waitress came back I calmly informed her of the situation and she apologized. She took the 2 dishes and asked if we wanted replacements. We politely declined. Another waiter came over and asked what happened. He apologized and asked if we wanted some drinks. My stepson said sure he would have a lemonade. This is how I would expect something like this to be handled. Also at this point we were obviously expecting those 2 entrees to be removed from the bill. Well boy did we have a surprise coming. The cook came out, which is also apparently the “decision-maker” and sternly asked what the problem was. Which, not coincidentally she had black hair and was wearing a hairnet that only covered about the back 1/3 of her hair. We explained the situation again to her as well that a black hair was found in 2 different dishes. She immediately seemed to express doubt that there could have been a hair in both entrees and honestly came across like she was accusing us of lying. She also said she would only comp one of them. I explained that I was confused why we would have to pay for any entree that had a hair in it. She said again that she would only comp one meal….period.I explained that we were frequent patrons, had ordered 5 meals and 3 appetizers and that we were happy to pay for everything else. However, it is unacceptable to make us pay for either of the 2 entrees that had hair in them and were not even eaten. She would not budge and said that is all she is doing. So I notified her that hearing that is very disappointing because in the past we have always enjoyed our experiences. She literally acted like she couldn’t care less and walked away.So to summarize, just want to provide a heads the cook does not wear a hair net correctly, it is not out of the question to find a hair in your food, and there is a good chance you will still be required to pay for it.

The main reasons why I am giving a 3 star review is because the amount of cashu (pork) given is the most ridiculous amount I’ve EVER paid for. The most thinly sliced pork, it literally all fit in one spoon. It must be a change on chefs because I remember a couple months ago the protein portion was okay. Regarding customer service, it is alright. The curry is amazing!

I can’t believe we haven’t tried this place before now! The food is delicious. Sometimes when I see a menu offering two different types of ethnic cuisine, I become skeptical because authenticity might be compromised. O have to say, this place does Japanese Ramen and Thai dishes just right. I lived in Japan for three years. Both their traditional and fusion offerings were delicious. My daughter had yellow curry Ramen (not traditional at all but DELICIOUS!), we had shrimp shumai as an appetizer. My traditional pork Ramen was yummy. Service is as good as it can be for a family owned restaurant with cooks and servers speaking just enough English to answer your questions. The wait for food was normal compared to a chain restaurant. Charming, authentic, clean. We will be coming back!!Kid-friendliness: If your kiddo is allowed to have carbonated drinks, they’ve got to order a Ramune!Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps to take for entry. Tables are spaced well, with room to maneuver for wheelchair users

Service is consistently awful. They tell you take-out order will be ready in 20-25 minutes and it’s usually more like 45-50 minutes. Food is good but not enough to deal with really poor service.

One star is mainly for service. Waited over an hour on a To-go order after being forgotten about and then waited about 15min while the order was actually made. Food was fine although portions were small for the price.
