Girls Night dinner with two friends. The menu selection was great and the wine list was legit!! Our server, Meagan, was fabulous. I couldn't be happier with how our special night was. Thank you Next Bistro!! We will see you again.

We really love having this outstanding restaurant so close to us. The food is terrific and always changing, the wine list is eccentric, and the service is always friendly. We love sitting at the bar!

This has always been our go-to date night place when we want something close, and it had been awhile since we had been. It just wasn't what it has been in the past. The calamari was on the overcooked side and was definitely more filler than actual calamari pieces. My husband had the cedar plank salmon and I had the Mediterranean salad with salmon; both pieces of fish were skimpy and undercooked. The menu said it was sushi-grade salmon so we didn't send them back, but my husband felt ill after dinner so perhaps we should have.

I wanted to be able to leave an excellent review for food & service but simply can not. Read on …In a nutshell - whiney “no show” waitress, cold and un chewable meat and a $500 ticket with tip already included.If the dining receipt wasn’t so darn expensive this experience would have been comical.We made reservations for Valentine’s Day.We arrived a little early, were greeted very nicely and were promptly seated. The atmosphere is nice and a beautiful wine display, and very good tasting wine as well. That is the good part of the review.Then …the food server greeted us, we responded politely and she immediately complained that she was annoyed that it was busier than usual due to Valentine’s Day, but she reluctantly conceded that it was actually ok because her tip money was really good that night and she quickly left for another table. LOL!We ordered the Duck and Beef Wellington and an expensive bottle of wine. When asking about the desert menu we were told that we probably wouldn’t get the desert we ordered because they will probably sell out by the time we are ready for it. This should have been a clue as to how long it would take to get our food, but we had wine - so… cheers!The food server poured our wine and water and we didn’t see her again until she removed our plates. The food took an unusually long time to be presented and when it was placed in front of us it was already lukewarm- nearly room temp. The food had been plated and sitting in the back and forgotten about for about 35-45 minutes.The particular duck on our plate was a very poor meat cut selection and full of inedible fascia so that a knife couldn’t even cut through.The plate had 95% of the inedible meat on it at the end of the meal.The beef Wellington was flavorful but cool/ room temp after 2-3 minutes.Neither the food server, nor a chef nor the owner was checking food quality or the dining experience.We did get the desert we ordered - small victory!And were handed the bill which had our server’s VERY large tip already generously added in for us. How thoughtful.When she removed the plates she saw all the uneaten meat - and either thought nothing of it or didn’t want to be bothered asking if there was a problem - since she had already informed us that it was annoyingly busy that evening.We did not complain, we did not ask for different food (it was getting late) we paid the very spendy bill and tipped our waitress the amount they suggested.All of that to say- we may have had an unusual experience for this restaurant- but we won’t spend another $500+ to find out.Cheers.

My husband selected this place for a Valentine's Day dinner and to say I was disappointed in the food is understatement after driving 45 mins plus from Dallas. It was a fixed menu and I only took a few bites of my appetizer, entree and dessert and couldn't continue. I ordered escargot with wild mushrooms, monk fish, creme brulee, and everything was bland! Our waiter had a dismissive attitude, and while the restaurant atmosphere was nice, I don't believe the food is worth the price and we will not be back.

We just finished up dinner for Valentines Day - we were unaware that they were doing a fixed menu. The pricing for the meal options and quality felt like being taken advantage of at $109/plate. The service was meh at best. Having a 20% gratuity ($46) added to $20 at best service has ensured we won’t be returning. To top it off we spent the evening listening to the bartender complain about his coworkers and slamming things around in the bar.

Not a bad experience at all, Valentine's is always hard. But given the prefix menu (which I was not made aware of when I made the reservation), the service was not very smooth. We felt rushed to finish our meals, but then had to wait 15 minutes before someone would pick up the check from our table. Food was good, but not worth the price. Atmosphere was calm and romantic. Seems like a great place to have a relaxed, calm dinner on a weeknight.

Not the best experience for our first time there. Was really excited about the menu but when we arrived, we were informed it was a fixed menu (Valentine's Day) for $109 a person! We had already ordered a drink and even that was disappointing. Every glass of wine was a $15 minimum and not one bottle less than $79. Obviously catering to a certain clientele but frustrating to not have the fixed menu noted on OpenTable so I could make an informed choice. Also, totally rushed us through all 3 courses and gone within 55 minutes which I think was a new speed record! Lastly, they automatically added a 20% tip! We saw our waitress 3 times total and inattentive as could be.

The food was good, almost great. The servers were nice, but a little aggressive about wanting to remove your dishes, definitely wanting to turn the table. The price was the killer. I had one drink, my date didn't drink, and our tab with automatic gratuity was $300. Three courses. I have had $300 meals before, this was not even close to one of them.

Popped into Next for an early Valentine's Day dinner with my Fiancé and couldn't be happier we did! We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server Maude was very charismatic and quick with service but never made us feel rushed. The place really does give off the whole "Bistro" vibe, dim but not dark, music was present but didn't impede conversation. The star of the show was the food, which is generally what you hope for at a restaurant I suppose haha. We felt that nearly everything we ordered was priced correctly (sans maybe the Brie) as you got PLENTY of food. My duck was the. BEST. I've had in years. So crispy yet not dry. A good amount of meat (if you eat duck often you know you're usually getting mouthfuls of bones lol). And I could have drank the sauce by itself, it was that good. My fiancé said that every bit of his seafood was cooked to perfection, and the seasoning on point! 10/10 recommend!

We were placed at a table close to the bar & where the servers enter and exit. My husband was bumped into about 10 times. The owner was sitting at the bar with his friend, talking extremely loud. The food was delicious. But, it was not a great experience.

We arrived at Next Bistro at 1:45 pm (their website said they serve lunch until 2:30 pm). We ordered wine and were looking at the menus when the waitress came over and basically told us we needed to hurry and order because they were about to stop serving lunch? Once our food was served, the waitress didn't come back to check on us. My husband got a hamburger and the cheese wasn't melted (at all) and the bun was cold. He was able to flag down a different waitress who apologized and said she would have them heat it for him. Then our waitress appeared and told us she was just able to catch the chef who was already walking out the door (at 2:07 pm) so it was our lucky day that they were able to stop him and get the hamburger bun heated. We proceeded to try enjoying our lunch when suddenly (at 2:15 pm) the background music in the restaurant was turned off. It was now completely silent in the restaurant and our waitress went over and started closing the shutters. There was one other table of ladies still in there as well. We asked for the check and the waitress said "oh, I'm not trying to rush you out!" (when clearly that's EXACTLY what she was doing). We both had wine to finish and I still had half of my sandwich! I asked for a to-go box and we just left the unfinished wine. I've never experienced anything like this at any restaurant!! Typically, if a restaurant claims to serve lunch until a certain hour, you are able to arrive before that time and order a meal. We were made to feel bad for arriving 45 minutes before closing and then basically were booted out before their official closing time. We were so disappointed because we are new to Colleyville and were hoping this would be a good restaurant. We won't be returning. I gave my review one-star because the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice (white tablecloths, good wine selection, quaint) and the food was ok. None of that matters when you are treated so poorly though. Unfortunate. :-(

Excellent service and high quality of food, wine and cocktails. Some wild game of elk and buffalo but also traditional duck steak and seafood. Excellent salads and a variety of appetizers. Wine list is extensive.

Great food, service and ambiance all in all. My wife and I went in December during the week and had such a great experience that we just booked time for Valentine's dinner. Love the small, intimate setting, perfect for that occasion.
