UPDATE since I cannot respond to the owner's response: There is an error in their response: when I reached out to them, my complaint was that the amount in the bottle I received DID NOT MATCH WHAT THEY HAD ADVERTISED ON THEIR WEBSITE, not that it did not match what I had ordered elsewhere. The amount in the bottle I received from them actually did match what I had ordered elsewhere but was advertised as being more on their website. I am glad they responded to my review so that anyone reading can evaluate firsthand the way they respond to customer issues.
I use a ton of 2Toms Blistershield when running because it's the only thing that keeps my feet from turning into one giant blister so I was excited when I saw that this shop was selling this product online at a good price for 8oz/227g. When I received it, I realized that the amount advertised online was not correct. Not only was the bottle I received the same size as the bottle I currently had (but advertised as containing 3x the weight), when I weighed the bottle, even with packaging, the entire container+contents was less than half of what was advertised on their website. There was clearly a labeling problem with the product and I respectfully reached out to PlayTri for a resolution.
Chris responded to my email and the tone was bizarrely hostile and defensive about the accuracy of the amount in the bottle (the definition of an ounce was debated even though the amount in grams was very clearly wrong too) and who was responsible for it, something that seemed really obviously to me to be the shop that sold it or the manufacturer. In his words, "Our listing description and pictures lined up exactly with what you purchased and fulfilled from us. I have no control over their packaging".
This went on for a bit. A simple acknowledgement and expression of regret about the problem would have gone a really long way in this interaction and I doubt I would be writing this review had that happened. I NEVER write negative reviews but in this case feel like customers considering purchasing a bike from this shop need to be aware that they may not take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of the products they sell in their store or may do so reluctantly and as this was the case in my customer service experience.
NOTE: the issue was ultimately resolved. Chris reached out to the manufacturer and they sent me extra product. But I had asked for tracking on the shipping since I was traveling and I live in a high package theft area. He sent me incorrect tracking information so I wasn't able to track it and by the time he got correct tracking information to me stating it had been delivered 2 days prior, I asked my neighbor to pick it up for me it was nowhere to be found. There was no acknowledgement of the tracking number error or any sort of apology for it and Chris made sure to point out that "Even though they didn't have to, they sent out 2 new packages for you." Ultimately I found it tucked in an unusual place when I returned so it was not in fact stolen so this was resolved.

My wife and I have ridden mountain bikes for the past 10 years. We began using Playtri several years ago for all of our bike maintenance and service. Playtri can be trusted to fix any maintenance issue you might have and to stand behind their work. James (the bike mechanic) is very knowledgeable and is very pleasant to work with.
The entire staff is very friendly and courteous.
We highly recommend them to all cycling enthusiasts.

DANGER! Beware of having bike services done at this location! Also beware of Todd, the manager, who has a hostile attitude, and a defensive demeanor. At minimum, Todd needs customer service training. I'm very thankful that I only suffered minimal injury. However, it only takes one time for this level of irresponsiblilty to be irreversible.
I normally go to Bullseye bike shop in Denton for service and maintenance of my bikes. However, I had two tires from two different bikes that needed repair and decided to try this local bike shop. Bad choice. Both tires that I paid to have repaired had issues. I picked the tires up on the evening of 10/1. I went for a ride at 7am on 10/2. Within a few hundred yards, while accelerating down a steep decline, one tire that was "repaired" completely exploded, resulting in a horrific, terrifying experience due to being thrown from the bike. Therefore, I checked the other tire on the other bike and found that it was underinflated by a minimum of 10lbs. When I went back to the store this afternoon to explain my experience and understand how this could have happened, I was met with Todd's hostility and defensiveness. Todd didn't provide an ounce of empathy or concern. He also guaranteed that the accident COULD NOT have been caused by the negligence of their technicians/service. Ironically, during the same visit Todd and his technician, James, had a disagreement regarding whether a new tire was needed or if the same tire could be repaired again. When I asked about a remedy, Todd did not offer any services to help me get back to riding, but rather blamed me for the accident and denied any responsibility. Todd also tried to deny the owner's contact information. DANGER! Beware of having bike services done at this location! Also beware of Todd, who has a hostile attitude, and a defensive demeanor. I'm very thankful that I only suffered minimal injury. However, it only takes one time for this level of irresponsiblilty to be irreversible.

Playtri is a great shop with a wide variety of bikes and fitness gear. We connected with Todd while searching for a new bike for our 13 year old son. Todd was super helpful and knowledgeable to help fit him into a bike that will last awhile. I will definitely be shopping there again, it's a great store!

I love this place. They have the nicest bike technicians I’ve ever dealt with. I’m an amateur biker and I’ve run across some surly techs at other stores. The bike techs at Playtri are friendly and knowledgeable. James did a great job repairing my bike. The prices are extremely reasonable.

I was looking for some tubes that are unusually hard to find and they had them in stock. Staff was over the top friendly. I can't speak of their service department, as I am not from the area but if I come back through the area, I will definitely stop in. Great store directly across the road on the Cottonbelt trail to Grapevine.

***BUYER BEWARE*** Bike arrived damagedI had to pay a local shop to repair my bike, I was assured I would be reimbursed. I sent the receipt as instructed by their staff and never got a response back. This company does not keep their word, buy at your own risk.

I came here to insert my own inner tube on the tyre. I installed around 80% myself and just around 20% work remaining. It just took around 45 seconds without any tools for him. He charged me 11.90$. He said 15$ supposed to be and said 11.90$ is discounted price. He didn’t tell me the labor cost before starting to work. It’s way expensive then my expectation. I will never come back again and never recommend to anyone. Very unsatisfied.
