About Mitchell County Hospital
Mitchell County Hospital provides emergency care and inpatient services in Colorado City. Patients report quick, friendly attention from nurses and doctors. When a visitor experienced kidney stones, the team at the back of the emergency department handled the case with care, keeping the patient comfortable. A diabetic patient with a severe toe infection needed surgery to remove the toe; the staff worked hard to keep the stay positive, laughing and crying together, and the patient was discharged after 16 days, grateful for the support. A husband who felt a heart attack was rushed to the hospital; a nurse and an ER doctor called for help and performed an EKG within minutes. The patient was flown from Lubbock to Abilene, TX, where life was saved. The facility is clean and professional, with nurses who are supportive and judge‑free. Staff members are praised for their kindness, patience, and willingness to talk patients through panic attacks. The overall atmosphere is caring and efficient, and patients leave feeling that they mattered and that the hospital continues to do a good job.

The nurse doesn't really take time to talk and so when I call to ask question they don't have time to talk

Dr Brandon is the best 👌
He doesn't roll his eyes when I come in for panic attacks (I know it must get annoying)
Instead he talks me through it
He is very caring and supportive with his patients and is judge free unlike the other nurses
Give this man a raise 🗣
