We loved the building. Especially the ceiling! The concept for the venue layout is fabulous!! I realize this has vendor's, but the prices are sooooo expensive I don't know how anybody is willing to buy hardly anything. I would rather go 2 blocks away to America Reclaimed! Prices are MUCH better!!

Delicious light sandwiches, coffee, desserts. The store is a marvel of lovely things both modern and of yesteryear. A delightful way to pass a few hours.

I LOVE this store! The employees are so helpful and friendly It is a decorator’s and/or landscaper’s dream. They have unique pieces for both the inside and outside of your home. Good prices and again, just a great, friendly place to shop!

There are SO many fun things to look at in here! Such a big place I could get lost lol. The women running the place are beyond friendly and helpful. There’s also a cute little coffee shop in the front to keep me fueled while I hunt for treasure :)

Amazing pieces and welcoming staff. Coffee and treats were delicious. Lots of fun for the kids out back. Love visiting 8th street every time we are in the area!

Always make a point of going to Comfort and especially 8th street when visiting my sister in San Antoinio. But this time I was so disappointed. Yes, it's still beautifully decorated, but the prices have skyrocketed!!! I've always found several treasures I could take home with me, but not this time. Not sure I'll go out of my way in the future?!

From the signs drawing you in with shaved ice, you would consider the store would be kid friendly. No I don't mean your children should run free in any store, but their mere existence, should not provoke ugly looks and snide comments from employees. I would avoid this place is you have children with you, and sadly especially if those children are minorities. Let me elaborate....We went in this store recently, looking to do some shopping to update our ranch. After some browsing, we figured we would take our kids to have a treat of shaved ice before we hit the scorching sun waiting for us in the outdoor area of the shop. After our shaved ice snack, my wife was taking the kids to wash their hands before proceeding out back. I'm watching, chatting with a friend when I notice the clerk behind the counter start mouthing words to the other clerk, pointing and then glaring at my two year old son. I'm not one to confront someone if it was warranted, but my son wasn't harming anything and he was under supervision the whole time. She followed him with her eyes, and kept mouthing words I shouldn't utter here. She made it a point to turn around and keep watching him and my wife. I then figured the choice words she said about my kids meant we were not welcome or wanted there. I briskly walked to my wife, informed her and we turned around and proceeded to leave. My wife is a much nicer person that I am and she gently let the employees (or owners, we are not sure which) know why we were leaving. The glasses clad and really rude clerk said "okay" and the other acted confused, trying to cover up getting seen being total meanies. We walked out and took our business elsewhere, but were left with a bad enough taste in our mouths that we thought a review was warranted. What bothers me the most is the squadron of non-minority children in the shop were never followed and no ugly looks made. They were apparently welcomed in more than my children. This is a shame this day and age, if my children were judged on the race, but who is really to say, I am just making an assumption. In the end, the shaved ice was a welcome treat, the space is fairly hot with a lack of air conditioning (lots of random blowers in the isles to circulate the swampy air), the prices are high for the quality of product they stock and the employees carry more of a uppity and conceited attitude. If you're looking for a home décor/faux antique shop, look elsewhere.

As a designer always on the search for great stuff . A large blond women told us they were closed and I asked what time she responded at 4 and looked at my watch and it was 330 and coffee shop was closed too. Never have I ever seen someone turn down a sale ! No etiquette or customer relations experience ! Beautiful store to bad won’t be returning or referring them .

Lovely stop on the way from San Antonio back to Kerrville. I definitely need to go back because I saw some things I really want to get. Ordered a sandwich from the counter, and it was really quite good. It was all in all a very enjoyable time.

A real hidden gem located in Comfort Texas. So many vintage items, you need a couple of hours to take it all in. It really is a Marketplace with extensive indoor and outdoor items.

This is such a neat store with beautiful things. The reason for 3 stars is I found some vintage plant saucers displayed with pots for sale…no price. I take them to the register to be told “I don’t think the vendor wants to sell these, let me ask”. Response: Vendor wants to sell them with the pots. There are no matching pots. The shop owner goes outside with me to look at pots and is clearly frustrated as she tells me “idk why I’m out here. She doesn’t want to sell them”. Apparently I’m not the first customer that had experienced this. If you don’t truly want to sell something, take it home. Nothing is more frustrating to a customer to pick out something just to find out you aren’t willing to sell it!
