I recently bought a car, the same day it didn’t start when I got home, found it to be a lose battery cable. Following Sunday car temp gauge went to extreme hot, it wouldn’t start twice not battery related, and the a.c. Compressor went out that Friday , as well as the “dry fan” sp? Monday returned to get ac fixed and told him about the other things happening. This man berated me the day before by yelling and telling me my car would not be leaving the lot and he didn’t care if I had to walk, which legally he couldn’t do without refunding me but I needed the car fixed so I let it slide, he told me multiple times he was not letting me take my car. Then Tuesday I went to pick up the car, he started telling me that I didn’t report the problems in a timely manner, and then tried to put words in my mouth, and he was yelling, and was so rude, and condescending. Tried to say I probably messed the motor up and when I told him the motor was fine and that a mechanic checked it for me he said how did I know they knew what they were talking about etc. Even an ex employee there came to me and said it’s not your fault what’s wrong with these cars. He buys damaged insurance cars, they have been sitting no oil, no water nothing moving through them, sitting for months and then he just brings them washes them and puts them on the lot then gets mad when they come back with all these issues . I would never step foot on this property again or ever encourage anyone to buy a car from them. My boss took me and seen how rude he was. He’s a con and and liar!

I would never go this place again he’s a cheat and a liar ! He does not tell you everything that’s wrong/damaged with his cars which he is obligated to do!! Long story short the car I purchased was damaged in more places than one and then 9 months later the transmission went out? needless to say I refused to pay any extra funds and left the car on his lot!!! Never again and would NOT recommend this place to no one!!! And yes James is VERY rude and disrespectful once he gets your money in his hands!!

Definitely wouldn’t have thought from the initiation of the sales transaction that the character of the managing owner would be as revealed. Once my $1200 down payment was charged. He suddenly remembered that there was something he forgot to tell me about the car. Which was it was salvaged. He revealed that it’s more economically feasible for them to purchase salvaged titles, repair and resale. He assured the the car was fine and my test drive around the block didn’t reveal any issues. Better to test drive a car for at least 40 miles of highway. He told me if I wanted to back out he’d refund my down payment which could take a few days. I had to be to work on Monday, this was a Saturday evening now nearing close. He’d seem like a forth right business man so I decided to keep moving forth with the deal. He handed me my keys after I acknowledged being told about the salvaged title and I drove off. When I turned onto hwy24 a engine light came on and I immediately called him and he told me I could bring it back next week and they would clear the message because it was an error nothing was wrong with the car. Well I worked 7am -7pm Monday-Friday and sometimes Saturday so I wanted to know if he could come get the car or give me a loaner car. Neither he was willing to do. I was able to bring the car that following Saturday and his mechanic wasn’t in. He wouldn’t work on resolving this matter of getting him the car and providing me with a loaner. Especially since I had just paid him the down payment and come to find out something was wrong with it. He had to order parts. The following week the car died on me while I was taking it to his shop to leave because there was no other accommodations that would be made. I called him the following business day his voice message system was full and he never called back nor answered any of my calls. He had my transportation and $1200. I had the car for two weeks. He didn’t offer my money back or at least a portions. I documented everything and am considering filing suit or even better a class action suit since others have similar complaints. Buyers beware. I know that people who conduct business and utilize these risky practices are usually desperate for money so I have some compassion towards his obvious financial issues even though he didn’t consider mines nor the others he’s taken advantage of or better stated stole from.

I sell insurance in town. I have quite a few customers who purchase from Gilley’s. I don’t ever hear anything bad about them. I also have two family members who started out with no credit so they went there. The vehicles seem reliable and reasonable. Good people to work with.

I feel as though a lot of the negative reviews are from those who didn’t qualify to purchase here. I however, purchased 3 vehicles here and had no issues. They worked with me on every step. Cars were also very affordable. James is super professional and treats his. customers right.
