Excellent bank. Wonderful employees. Friendly, fast, and accurate in person or over the phone. Been using them 32+ years. Many locations around Houston. Need more locations in areas around Grimes County and College Station where none are found.
This bank I can trust. The other banks in Grimes County are ALL closed early on Fridays, and closed Saturday and Sunday completely. My family when they come into town can't do business with me at that 'other' bank, as family can't get into town until Saturday. And all 4 other different branches banks are closed on the weekend completely. No convenience for the customer.
So if possible, please đ„ș open more banks West of Lake Conroe and beyond. The other bank doesn't offer simplicity options for bill paying. So my money at another bank is for emergency only since we moved. Provided my emergency doesn't fall later on Friday or ever on Saturday and Sunday!
Please open AMEGY banks in those areas. I and many others can really use you for our banking needs and convenience. Great bank. All locations we've ever gone to very professional.

I asked them if they had a bathroom and they said ânoâ and then they laughed..
THEN they offered to let me use the bathroom AFTER they saw that I was with someone who was making a deposit.

I switched to Amegy due to trying to get out of digital banks. Amegy has two locations in Conroe, it was perfect. One I pass during work hours, one I pass on my way home. First, their app is pretty terrible. Their online banking is terrible. However, for some stupid reason I convinced my mom to also get rid of online banks and switch to Amegy. She did. She switched her direct deposit.Thursday, she wants to check if her check deposited. It did not. Friday morning, attempts to check it again. Now it says she doesnât have online banking access. Due to this, she goes into a branch. They let her know they canât help her with her online banking. Okay, fine. Whatever. I guess Iâll call. However she needs some money for the day. They refused. It was a new account so understandable. However it did irritate mom. She asks them if she can close the account. The lady says yes. Mom didnât like that she couldnât access her money. She couldnât use online banking, and her paycheck came on Friday when before she would get it Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Lady informed mom to come back the following day after the deposit had cleared. Fine.So we go. But we go to the other location in Conroe since itâs closer to where she lives. Get there. Give lady 2 the run down. Tell her we are here to withdraw the funds and close the account. She says okay.Few moments later, she informs us the account was already shut down because âthey couldnât continue the relationshipâ. Uh. Okay. Sit there awkwardly for a few seconds with her staring at us. Then I ask about the deposit. She then informs us due to lady 1 closing the account the previous day before the deposit cleared, it rejected the deposit and returned to the sender. If you are a lower-middle class citizen living paycheck to paycheck, this is not the bank for you. I personally feel like Iâm a burden when I go into either location. Itâs just not cool. Also, screw you lady one. You couldâve just told us you did this so that my mother who is living paycheck to paycheck couldâve contacted her employer and made arrangements on her bills.Get off your high horse. Old hag.

Attempted to get a Home Equity Loan through this bank and was very disappointed with the communication and lack of service. They made an initial offer of $70K. Then we didn't hear from them for about a month. After a month, they changed the offer amount and asked us to pay off a credit card. We said no problem. Then about 2 weeks later, they asked us to pay off our car. We said no. Then they ordered an appraisal online. This online company they used showed a significantly lower value for our home..about $40K less than what county value was...and they didn't even perform a real appraisal...no one came to see the property or even do a drive by, they just used some computer program. After all this was done over 2 months later, we were told they could now offer us $20K. We declined and never heard from them again. However, we decided to use the appraisal they completed to protest our tax value and get our value lowered for tax purposes. The appraisal report was so bad even the county rejected it. They had no sales in the neighborhood to support the value Amegy's appraiser came up with and refused to used the comps listed on Amegy's appraisal report. Thus, I feel this is their way of declining home equity loans due to COVID. Since we have excellent credit and good income, I feel they worked 2.5 months on coming up with data to make the loan worthless.
