Doctor and nurse were both useless. Appointment was an hour late . All they do is prescribe pills. When you ask questions about the pills they give you basic answers because they DON'T KNOW. A pill for every ill and get em out. No intention to truly help veterans heal. No wonder they give free healthcare to us veterans... it all trash.

Conroe is a typical VA clinic. Tired, overworked, understaffed people.

Worst VA ever. I Jjust moved to TX and the Dr. Refused to prescribe my medication I have been in for over a decade. Wants to try a "Holistic approach" It is not like I'm on opioid or anything.

The service is fine when you have an appointment but if you try to call them only the operator button works and after waiting for 15 minutes they just hang up on you

It’s slow. If you can get away with being seen in the civilian sector, do it.On the 4th floor (labs/radiology) there aren’t enough people to handle the load of vets that need to check in and out. They’re not bringing the kiosks back at the Houston VA or the CBOC clinic. No explanation, so be prepared for even longer wait times and zero communication.

I Went to the Conroe VA as a walk in on 6/20/23. Everything went well until I met the nurse practitioner. She wanted to make it known that walk ins were for emergency’s and what I was being seen for was not that. She told me that she was sure about what my issue was, but would get x-rays done. She also said that the X-rays would take 24 hours to come back and that she would call me the following day. I said okay that’s fine, 6/28/2023 I still haven’t received a call. I sent a review to the VA saying this and they called the following day asked what happened 6/29/2023. They tried to say well your home address is not updated that’s not why you were notified, I said I was informed I would be called. They said they would have the medical director call me. 7/5/2023 I received a call from BRENDA LEE MOSTELLA the nurse practitioner who seen me. She said she didn’t have the right mailing address so that wasn’t her fault and that she attempted to call. I told her no ma’am no one called my phone, she then said yes she did. I told her no ma’am I do not have any missed calls for the last two weeks. She said well that’s okay. She said your X-rays are normal. I told her thank you and ended the conversation. I looked on my VA medical records where they have to type everything in. The first attempt to notify me of my X-rays was 6/29/2023 via mail. I just want to be clear that I never have been the type of person to complain and have always tried to see myself in others shoes. Maybe it’s just a bad day they’re having. However every interaction I have had with this Mrs. Mostella has been nothing short of rude, and filled with an aggravated tone. I know that this experience does not speak about the other workers there, so I would like to make it clear that the nurse practitioner was the only issue I had, I still give you the benefit of the doubt. But that’s my experience and I would rather trust my health care with someone who cares, I would rather drive to Lufkin Va clinic than to go back to the Conroe Va.

Always had a good experience when it came to my medical care. Staff is usually friendly and attentive.

I'd give negative stars if I could. Just had another HORRIBLE experience with the VA. The Conroe VA is the same as all other VA's I've been to. Disrespectful and unprofessional staff, do yourself a favor and seek health care somewhere else. The VA really needs to be shut down and the Conroe clinic is just another example why. I went in for labs today and asked for my blood draw to be done on my right arm, the phlebotomist said with an attitude "it doesn't matter what arm it is" and she stuck my left arm. I don't feel safe going to the VA.

I feel hopeless trying to get appointments. When I did get one, it just got canceled the month later.

Nothing but good experiences here. Staff has always been friendly, helpful and professional. Wait times for procedures are a little longer than civilian providers, but VA is working on improving this. If anything getting refered out to community care could be improved but that's not in this clinics purview.

The most inept group of people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Every process needs to be convoluted and care is alway delayed to the point further injury. This VA likes to take a wait and see approach which makes absolutely no sense considering that it costs more money to correct larger problems than to fix the smaller ones proactively. Still waiting to speak with a patient advocate and it's been over a week. Neurologist apt rescheduled 4 times already since they can't get authorization. My PCP has to "review the Neurologists chart" to see if I still need to go. My problem was never fixed and took a month to get an MRI. The VA Healthcare system is causing harm to the patients. I can write so much more about how the VA has failed me, but for the sake of my mental health, I'll stop here.

Still masking and continuing the neo-Bolshevik lie - did not honor my appointment time. I can’t even begin to express how angry I am that they wasted my time and resources getting there. Absolute trash.I can’t even believe what a nightmare this place is. They are never ever on time.
