Not impressed!! 4 employees from what I could find and no one spoke much English to answer questions and all they did was point to things. Parking lot and places to walk are dangerous and had mud or water standing if not in the buidling.

The product here sucks. Bought 4 trees and they all died. Place is a waste of money and the service also sucks.

We were planning on spending a few hundred dollars on a 4 trees this evening at the north woodlands location near HWY 1488. We loaded our cart with largest Leyland Cypress and 3 smallest Italian cypress the only sign in front of them read 19.99. We get to the counter and the cashier said they were 29.99. We told her about the sign and she said "no 29.99". My husband went to go take a picture of the metal sign in front of the plants and found someone to assist him. The guy said, "That sign is wrong. They are supposed to be 29.99. I'm the manager, they are 29.99." No apologies for the inconvenience, mistake, etc... If the manager was even remotely remorseful about the incident or explained about the price change, we would not have left empty handed. His arrogance is mainly why we decided to leave. Lesson learned, smaller nurseries are the way to go.

Bought this live oak from Houston Garden Center's fall 50% off sale! Soon will be 70 or 75% off but selection gets poorer as the sale go on in preparation for winter. It was a little too big for my car but was the smallest of what they had left, we made it fit bending some branches carefully, got it home and already planted it with some root stimulator solution mixed with water. The ground around it is all bare btw because we had just installed a bulkhead and completed the dirt backfill, planted grass seed, and now the tree. And in planting, I did learn I'm a little older than I thought, digging the hole kind of did me in and with it getting dark now at 5 pm it's off to bed I go probably a bit earlier than most but it will help me sleep away my pains!

Was not a great experience picking out a Christmas tree. Once it was all set and done nobody wanted to help loaded up and put it on the car, They were too busy on their phones and said that they did not speak English. Also, once we got it home, we realize the Christmas tree itself was spray painted green and very dry. Called several times to talk to somebody about it and nobody wanted to answer the phone. Will never come back for a Christmas tree again .

I am refreshing my landscape and took my plant list, which included two fruit trees to this business. I needed assistance and could not be helped because there were no English speaking employees. I did get what I needed at another business for a total of $2416.84, not a large amount, but that multiplied throughout the day is a loss to be sure.

Needed a valid question about a plant answered. Couldn't find one employee that spoke English, and their attitude towards us was one of intolerance. Six different employees and they either feigned that they were non-english speaking, or they didn't speak english. We left. They do not get our money.

I needed an assortment of new plants and trees, however, I had questions. I approached 3 different employees who did not speak English. Therefore, I left!! No more Houston Gardens for me!!

Terrible customer service! Tried to ask for a price on pots because none were priced and the girl acted like we were asking for an organ. She was very rude! We just walked out. We won’t go back!

Staff is unwilling to help you. I asked for help finding a plant, the lady mumbled one word and pointed at another worker on the otherside of the store. That worker promptly said "did you check the corner?" And went back to his duties. When i asked for clarification, he pointed in a very general area and continued his duties. Also, this company does not accept returns, regardless if the plants death was from their negligence (and theres a lot of it here, i say a fiddle leaf fig with 2 inches of standing water ABOVE THE SOIL)You will be much better off going to Carters or A&E, where they actually care for their plants.

Cashier was eating McDonald's French fries while checking me out. Barely acknowledged me and didn't say a word when she was done.Unprofessional.Nursery on 1488 is by far better.

Upon entering the store, I instantly noticed the staff's unbridled joie de vivre; one staff member stood with arms folded, the other staring into space as if the victim of unresolved trauma, and the other hunched over, as if he hadn't slept in days. I entered and greeted them, being met with a grunt and two apathetic looks. I wondered if they had all recently been told they were being laid off or if there might be some other reason for their crestfallen demeanors. I went outside to look at the flowers (after assuming they were indifferent as to if I ever returned) and was pleasantly surprised by the good selection of flowers and their bountiful yields. Eventually, we made it to checkout, and the staff was mellowed out (no issues to report). Good plant nursery overall, just not the most jovial.
