I cannot say enough amazing things about this school. We enrolled our son when he was 10 weeks old and he is now almost 18 months. We have never had one problem with the teachers/staff or anyone! They love on these kids so well and are super attentive. They constantly keep us updated through their app on how he is doing - how often he is eating, has diaper changes, what activities he is doing, posting pictures. I truly feel so grateful that we found such an incredible place to trust with our baby boy. I would recommend this school to anyone! We love the head of school, Ms. Lacy, and all of the staff!

We have been taking our baby boy here for the past 5 months and our experience has been nothing short of fantastic. My son started school here at the age of 4 months old. On his first day, I was immediately greeted by Lacy and Ms. Katie in the infants 1 class. I was feeling emotional and Ms. Katie gave me a hug and told me she would take the best care of my boy and I shouldn't need to worry. Her sweet, calming demeanor instantly put me at ease. I trusted her immediately. Lacy also reassured me and made me feel as comfortable as possible!
Five months later, I can confidently say my son is thriving at St. James. He absolutely loves his teachers and friends. He gets to do all sorts of crafts, sensory activities, walks and play dates outside, fun events such as Western Day (with a petting zoo, bounce houses, a train, live music from the music teacher, and so much more), singing/playing instruments with the music teacher, and lots of interaction with the loving staff. I get pictures and videos on the regular and he's always having the best time. They have worked with me on his difficult sleep (he was a contact napper up until daycare) and never once made me feel bad for it. I have only ever heard positive things about my boy and how much they love him. The love he feels from them is evident as he smiles and is happy to go to every member of the staff that works with him, including Lacy, who clearly stays involved with all the kids.
St. James is clean, organized, and safe. Best of all, my baby loves it so much...and that's all I prayed for. Don't think twice! If you're looking for a place to send your baby, this is the place.

St. James Episcopal Day School is the best in Conroe. At all age levels they have incredible staff and great teachers. Both my children attended and we enjoyed every minute of it. I highly recommend this school above all others.

I have had my child enrolled here for over a year now. I really liked the school at first. The small classes, the teachers, the activities, everything. Now I can’t say I feel the same. We have had 3 different directors over the course of not even two years and a revolving door of teachers. The new director is young and looks to point the finger at teachers rather than lack of proper protocols. I’m unfortunately considering other options at this point.

We are thankful to have found St. James School! My daughter goes to a MDO that is closed in the summer, so we were looking for a place for our 2 year old. We tried one out and it was not a good fit for our family and pulled our daughter out last week. Lacy was extremely helpful and offered to let us start today instead of waiting until July. My daughter had an amazing first day!

St. James Episcopal Day School has been a true blessing to our family. Being a first time mom and the reality of having to go back to work and having someone else much less a stranger watch our baby was nerve wracking, but we have been so grateful for the amazing teachers and staff at St James. It has given us a peace of mind knowing she’s been taking care of and loved on all day while at work.

St. James Episcopal Day School has been a true blessing to our family. Starting with our oldest and now to our youngest, we have been so grateful for the amazing teachers and staff. They have provided our child with a safe, Christian learning environment. It has given us a piece of mind when we go to work knowing our children are loved and cared for by all the staff at St. James. Throughout our years at St. James, we have felt like a family and our children LOVE going to school everyday.

My daughter had been going here for years. We unfortunately had to stop going for about 6 months due to work and travel. When we came back there was a new director. She was AWFUL. She was rude and disrespectful and the teachers there agreed because they dropped like flies after she was hired. All of my daughters previous teachers quit within months of her arrival. during COVID she made up a new rule that you had to wear masks OUTSIDE to hand off your kids to the teacher and continue to wear them in your car at pick up. No. When I argued with her about the science of that not making sense she told me I "MUST COMPLY" Flash forward to a month later and we get sent a message online that summer school is full and no more children will be accepted. We never received any info on summer school. I reached out and asked why I needed to enroll my three year old child into a daycare for summer that she's been going to for years and she told me "because you do and we are full so you will need to get all her things by the end of the week to make room for other students" To tell you how absurd that is is an understatement. So we rush around trying to find a day care that will take my child within a week Since we both work. Now months later they have been trying to enroll us into auto pay and even called us several times to see if we are coming back for the fall. When I spoke to the assistant director just now and told her what happened she said "we will take note of that." This school used to be THE place to go back in the day but now it's all about power hungry nobodies thinking they can shove their weight around. Good luck getting kids to come back with no teachers.

Amazing school! My three children have attended this school over the past 20 years and we have amazing memories and have made lasting relationships. The teachers are of the highest quality, the curriculum is above par and the administrative staff is wonderful. It is a beautiful campus with lots of green spaces and serene settings. We love St. James!
