Literally the worst mechanic i’ve ever been to in my entire life. No matter the circumstances, please find another shop and dont be like me. they wasted so much of my time to do absolutely no work and they stole multiple parts of mine. They are completely scumbags and please never trust them they should be in jail. The owner must be high on something because he is completely lost all the time i literally had to tell them what was wrong they couldn’t even figure it out. never go there i am looking out for you. Place is nothing but thief's and scammers

The owner was very kind and knowledgeable. He didn't try the hard sell. He listened to what we needed and told us he would be on the lookout.

If you need or don't mind a fixer upper, this is the place for you. No need to read past this part.. BUT If you need a reliable vehicle and a reliable salesperson this may not be the fit. These cars are AS IS but a warranty was offered and the promisewas not fulfilled. I am a mother who needed a vehicle and I allowed myself to be misguided into purchasing a "reliable Honda" and even if there was anything wrong with it I had a years warranty to bring it back and he would take care of the problem. Everytime I took it back it sat there for weeks until I called expressing how much I really needed my car back and then he'd quickly "fix" it that day. The problem(s) still persisted and I even tried taking it elsewhere, willing to pay for the services but because......it had apparently been in a fire and the PCM wires look unreliable, the mechanic would not do a diagnostic. I would not have the right to be so frustrated had he been honest enough to say BEFORE taking our money that he had no clue as to what was wrong with the car, it had been in a fire accident, and I would need to pay for any repairs once it left the lot (which was the opposite of what was said). Desperation got the best of me. I needed a vehicle...but not that bad. I should have waited. A car payment was more worth the trouble I've been through. I'm also waiting on him to come to my house to look at the smoke that is now bellowing from my exhaust. I called him today and he said I"ll be right there".....man I'm gullible. This dealer is the reason why someone's word is as good as nothing these days. Its very hard to reach him and yes they are nice, but now it is no longer genuine. It's purely for money making. I'm sure most will read this review and say "Duh, what did you expect", but im not speaking to you. I'm speaking to the people who trust too easily and want to have faith in a man's/women's word especially when they knew you really needed a miracle.

I work at a service shop not to far from here. I had one customer bring me 5 different cars from them to look underneath and all cars were drenched in oil and even transmission leaks. DO NOT GO HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!

Took my transmission to them twice and still not working right. I asked for at least half my money back and the transmission is giving me the run around. Crooks all the way around

We have purchased three vehicles from Auto is My Hobby, we're always welcome by Paul and his wife on their lot and ask as many questions as we need. This is where we always purchase that second vehicle for my husband's commute or for my son when he visits from out of the country, and we always aim to only spend about $4-6k which means the vehicle is no newer than about a 2008.

Our first purchase was a Titan truck and it ran like a dream even after 18 months when we decided we wanted to purchase an old conversion van for some road trips to fulfill a long held dream we had! Paul wasn't sure about how it would handle and replaced many parts just to be sure, unfortunately that was a huge risk but we took it and failed not too far from San Antonio! Paul tried to fix it but when one thing after another started failing he helped us get into a 2008 Ford Expedition for an extra $1000 which was such a great deal and roomy enough to get a mini bed set up in the back, or have enough seating for our extended family when they visit. My husband takes it into downtown SA everyday to work and it's been running great for the last six months. Anytime we need advice or have needed our vehicles to be worked on, Paul is there. Their mechanics are very busy because do offer such great prices and so as long as you coordinate, have a good attitude and are patient, they'll get it done under budget. I definitely recommend checking out Auto Is My Hobby to see what hidden treasures await!... Read More
