“I remember driving through this area in the back seat of my family's car. This was back when there was an Albertsons Walmart and Kmart at the intersection of pat booker and 1604. And the whole forum area was just trees and hills and beautiful land. Since building and opening up major developments I've seen the forum grow and expand. Retailers come and go. Economic markets change and the restaurant fads turn over like hot cakes. The forum has been a place where our family shops, eats, and at times in my life, it was a source of income for my family. The retail world is ever changing and the forum area has been keeping up. The major highway developments I'm sure have caused retailers pain over the past decade. But the forum still looks good seasonal landscaping and decor is kept up with and upgrades to buildings seem to be kept. I love the area. So you won't get a complaint out of me ?.”
“My Class of 1956 meets there every first Thursday of the month. The menu is large, and the food is great. I look forward to eating there and visiting with my classmates.”

“Best in area for your shopping needs. Jams Avery was our dstinaton and did not let us down. Traffic was near unbearable but the fellow drivers were mostly in the mindset that we were all in it together.”
“My family and I were at the mall for a birthday party. We found this bookstore, and went inside. We decided to get two devotionals... one for my son and one for my daughters. As we were leaving, one of the workers looked right at me and said "Stop worrying". She said God put it on her heart to tell me to stop worrying, and that everything was going to be okay. I had never seen this lady before, I wasn't acting like I was worrying, I was actually having a good day... which has been pretty rare the past few weeks. However, God used her to give me a message. I can't stop thinking about it. I am so appreciative.This lady doesn't know that it was my dad and his twin brother's birthday, but they died... and I was struggling. She doesn't know that I am in a job that is leaving me so drained, and trying to find a new one that is better for my family. She doesn't know that I am having physical symptoms from stress. She doesn't know that I am healing from a major trauma that happened last year, and it has been so rough and painful. God does though. He used her to tell me not to worry and He has me.So needless to say, I definitely recommend this bookstore. Lol”

“I go to the gym just right next door to it it's a very nice gym the people are nice they don't really help you a lot because they really push to have a trainer so a lot of machines you have to just guess what you're going to use and how to use them”

One of my favorite places here is Star Shop.
Jenny is so nice and she has a nice selection of gifts and knives.
There is everything from a Wicca shop, vintage furniture, jewelry, clothing and games.
Two food courts and just a cool place to bring the family when you want to go shopping but don’t want to spend the money at retail prices.
If you are in town visiting and are looking for gifts or just something else to do besides our beautiful historic places, then this is a nice place to visit.”
“Visited Four Kings. Their daily specials are the bomb. They knock it out of the park with different daily specials each week. Their Bahn MI and Roast Beef are excellent, too!”

“I used to live about a mile down Green Valley rd. There used to be nothing but highway and rolling green hills. And autumn winds retirement home. Now it's all built up with housing, and lots of little business centers like this. Not sure how I feel about that except this town is growing by leaps and bounds.”

“Went looking for some decorative silk plants/ orchids for my newly renovated bathroom. Found exactly what I was looking for at D&D. Also found a container box for items that needed to stay within easy reach if the sink. Put it back on the shelf . Took my purchases to my car, had the thought that beautiful, closed top container might not be there if I waited. I went back immediately and purchased thst, too. Now my bathroom is complete.”

“I went to UPS. To send off a letter. Not too busy. It has a funky oder in there. I asked the trainee because it was the name tag he had on him. If he'd been asked about that. He told me it gets that smell from when it rains. Other than that, he was professional and handled everything pretty quickly. Also, he was very courteous. He did a good job.”

“Visited this shopping center to try out the newly Kung Fu Asian Cafe. Was surprised to find other businesses here that I will be visiting as well. The location is a bit remote but very convenient for the neighborhood and other businesses.Parking lot is adequate for the businesses in the center and handicap accessible is great.”
“Although I've made many photos of Village Oaks Shopping Center and it is conveniently located from house, driving to Randolph & other facilities where we frequently go, we have not used any of the stores within the shopping Center, except the Bangkok Cuisine in which we ate lunch one time but have not been back since. Their food was good but there are other Thai restaurants in the Forum, Nacogdoches & Thousand Oaks Rd where we go to eat. Village Oaks is not a store within itself but identifies & manages shops within Center. The Center does not present a new, fresh appearance. Grounds, parking lot, signs, buildings & rented spaces could use some paint.”
