So disappointed, unfortunately their office is not capable of returning calls, I have left numerous messages with answering service, their office mailbox is always full so you cannot leave message. No one has returned my calls, I am get daily emails now from them with attachments that cannot be opened. I hope you don't have an emergency situation. I was very pleased with my hygienist, however I am not satisfied with their lack of follow-up or inability to return calls of patients or provide adequate information via email.

Horrible. The doctor doesn't know crap. Go any where but here. Had a crown that came loose from a post. Said I neded a new crown. Went to another dentist and the glued the old crown back on. I've had the done six months ago and it's still on. This deserves a zero rating.

Highly recommend! They were thorough and professional. Sometimes, going to the dentist can be like going to an auto mechanic shop, where they like to overcharge and tell you that you need all this unnecessary work done. This experience was not like that at all. I had 2 previous dentists tell me I needed a deep clean and wanted to charge an exorbitant amount to do so. I am glad I came here because the dentist said that I didn't quite need a deep clean but needed a little more than the standard cleaning (medium cleaning). Plus, they didn't try to intimidate me by telling me that I needed all this work done. They simply did a thorough exam and gave me a reasonable work plan. The hygienist, Valerie, was friendly and gentle considering I needed some extra cleaning in certain areas. My only complaint is the time/length of appointment, but that's generally the issue everywhere. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I'll definitely be back.

This is one of those dental offices that makes people distrust dentists. They've got a slick process for intimidating you into paying for extra services. They pray on fear. I visit the dentist like clockwork every 6 months. When my insurance changed, I went here and they refused to conduct a cleaning without me paying over $200 for a deep cleaning. They also showed me 2-3 cavities and said they would all need to be addressed within the next 6 months.I left and saw another dentist. They performed a regular cleaning and said there was no need for a "deep cleaning." 2 years later, still no sign of cavities.

Numerous individuals have raised concerns about significant issues with billing and insurance quoting practices at this establishment. Both my spouse and I were informed that 50% of the costs for braces would be covered by our insurance. However, much to our dismay, we discovered post-enrollment that our insurance declined the claim, citing a policy that excludes orthodontic coverage for individuals over the age of 19. This leads me to question how Riverchase (now under the umbrella of Brident Dental) overlooked such a critical aspect of our insurance policy and proceeded to furnish us with paperwork outlining our expected out-of-pocket expenses.Furthermore, we have encountered a recurring pattern wherein bills have been sent for other treatments that were initially assured to be covered by our insurance. This consistent discrepancy prompts me to contemplate whether there is a lack of due diligence on their part or perhaps a deliberate intent to mislead. I have even overheard conversations at this office with other people complaining with the front desk about being told something was covered only to latter find it wasn't.Management at this place never calls back or makes any effort to fix the issue.I am not the only one writing reviews like this, so for people thinking about using Riverchase dental for any ortho care please go elsewhere.Edit: 09/25/23: While management has made no effort to call me, after going in person and speaking to someone in ortho they have come up with a reasonable solution for our braces though it was still their mistake and we are paying more for it. We still have an 800 dollar cost for bone graphs done during wisdom teeth extraction that were supposed to be covered and weren't.Edit: 10/24/23: Brident Dental who owns Riverchase dental called me and said they are looking into the issue but after that call I had a few weeks ago I haven't heard anything back.Edit 12/16/2023: Today the Dr didnt show up to remove my braces and I waited one hour just for them to tell me he wasnt there. Management has fixed one out of the three billing issues and its been a month. They dont even have the Dr's number on file. This is not a place you want to go for any ortho or dental treatment period. You have been warned. Also do not go to any other office that is associated with Brident Dental as well.

It is impossible to get a hold of these people. I have questions about my bill. I have called them repeatedly for they do not answer and now they are threatening to send me to collections - because THEY can’t answer the phone. They have no office manager - only a director that doesn’t want to be contacted. The employee turnover at this place is also pretty bad. I’ve had three dentists in about two years and two different hygienists. I would avoid this place. I’m looking for a new dentist. Corporate restructuring/takeover has ruined this place as it usually does. You fail, Brident.I still have questions on my bill and whether I should be reimbursed for paying what it appears my insurance eventually paid. Please contact me since your phone appears to only work one way.

I’m taking the extra time and effort to write this review because, just like a lot of the previous reviews before me, I want people to think twice before coming to this dental practice. My husband and I have been going to Riverchase since about 2011-2012 and things have definitely changed over the past few years. This became a practice that cares more about making money versus patient care and I came to realize this last year.Reason #1: I apparently had a cavity that was close to a nerve. I had no idea because I’ve never had issues with that tooth – no pain, discomfort or sensitivity. They suggested a root canal and a crown. I asked, “Can we just do a filling on the cavity (again, since there’s zero pain, zero discomfort and zero sensitivity) first? And if in the future, I do get issues with it, then we can do the root canal and crown. “ The personnel’s response was “Well, OTHER DENTISTS MIGHT DO A FILLING BUT OUR DENTIST WONT.”Reason #2: I also apparently needed a deep cleaning and was quoted for over $500 as my out of pocket. I’ve had deep cleanings done with them before and it was all paid for by my insurance. I looked at the details of the quote and they wanted Arestin on this tooth and that and this cream on this tooth and that. It was $45 per tooth and its not covered by insurance so it all adds up. I went home and did a search on Arestin…" Arestin is a type of antibiotic that is often used after periodontal cleanings. While generally beneficial for patients in need of the extra support for their gum health, it can be abused by dentists looking to tack on additional charges for a treatment. One of the easiest signs to tell if Arestin is being overused after a deep cleaning is if your dentist suggests the antibiotic be used on the same day as the cleaning itself.”“Yes, Arestin has been clinically proven to improve the results of deep cleanings in patients with gum disease. However, Arestin can quickly become an extremely expensive treatment option for patients and a great revenue enhancer for unethical dentists.”I looked for a different dentist after that. At my new dentist, who has been practicing since the 80s, they did a deep cleaning (everything was paid for by insurance) and filling on the cavity of the tooth that Riverchase wanted to do a root canal and crown on. Its been over a year and I’m still not having problems with that tooth (again, the tooth that Riverchase wanted to do a root canal and crown on).

That place was going downhill and since Nicole came on board, this is the worst place I have ever seen. Not only the work is not up to par, but if they make a mistake, they do not own it and blame somebody else. For many years they always told my wife and me that we had gum disease, needed extensive (and expensive, in the tune of $2,000) treatment, and our health was at great risk if we do not come every quarter. Guess what, a new dentist said we had no problems, perfect gum & teeth and no need to worry. They are pushy for unnecessary services and when the insurance pays them more than they expect, they add bogus codes and continue to ask for more money. Getting a refund is impossible and they will lie to you about the charges and the insurance. Nicole is the supreme being, and when asked to provide proof of insurance reversal, she says she has no reason to provide proof, that she is correct, and I am wrong, regardless of the insurance having no trace of a reverse charge. They also decide unilaterally what the insurance may pay and will not claim what they think is not covered. Guess what, insurance covers more but as it's not claimed, the money is out of your pocket. Pushing for them to submit the other services is a futile effort.Stay away.

I am a new customer & I called to re-schedule my dental appointment. I called the phone number which I thought was a "local" person at the dental office. The man spoke very poor English, didn't understand what I needed, put me on hold several times. I asked to speak to a Manager, he put me on hold again, he said that someone would call me back in 72 hours which is 3 days. This whole conversation took over 20 mintues, and nothing was accomplished. I will not go to this dental office, I felt very uncomfortable with this man with his poor English and most of all not understanding what needed to be taken care of for me. Very frustrating

Don't come here! PLEASE im warning you. I think they are over billing bc I've been coming here way before they merged with this new Brigdent company and I feel like they are over charging. I recently had an app. and nobody was in the office for my app. It was dark and looked closed. I can't get ahold of nobody on the phone in the office to make another appointment. They have changed the office hours 4x since they have taken over. I was going here because of the Convenient late hours, now they close at 4. I made a mistake and got invisalign with them not knowing it was a Brigdent company(which Brigdent is terrible) so now I have to see it through, but after that I won't be returning.

I must emphasize that this issue is of great significance. Had we been aware that no coverage existed, we would not have pursued orthodontic treatment.Edit: 09/25/23: While management has made no effort to call me, after going in person and speaking to someone in ortho they have come up with a reasonable solution for our braces. Many people here have been talking about the billing and insurance problems, and I'm facing the same issue. The dental office told both my husband and me that our insurance would cover 50% of the braces cost. But after we signed up, we found out that our insurance actually doesn't cover orthodontic treatment for people over 19. This doesn't make sense to me – how did Riverchase (now Brident Dental) not know this and still gave us paperwork showing what we'd have to pay out of pocket? On top of that, we're getting bills for other dental work that they initially said our insurance would cover. This is happening repeatedly, and it makes me wonder if they're not doing their job properly or if there's some intentional misleading going on. I've even heard other people at the office complaining to the front desk about being promised coverage that they didn't get.My husband has a call scheduled with the Office Manager tomorrow. The outcome of that call might change this review but I want to stress that this issue is a big deal. If we had known that our insurance wouldn't cover anything, we wouldn't have gone ahead with the braces treatment.

I can not stress enough how far to stay away from this office. They are terrible! AND A SCAM!!! Just as others have mentioned, they REFUSED to do a general cleaning TWICE stating that I have severe gum disease, and if left untreated would be bad. I DO NOT have severe gum disease. The second time they refused and I told the blonde office manager, (or billing coordinator,). She had the AUDACITY to tell me I need to budget my money better. OMG!! I manage my money just fine, I just don't like to be tricked into paying for something that is unnecessary! How dare she. I had an old filling that needed to be removed and replaced and Dr. Cessna did the removal. (I have to be on the gas because I do not do well with pain) After the numbing wore off it was terrible. She then proceeded to tell me I "might need" a root canal and to go to the Endo. She didn't mention that they were REQUIRING a root canal before they would put the permanent crown on and my temporary crown fell off 2 months later. (I was under the impression that WAS the permanent.) I call to come in to have them replace it and they then explained that it was REQUIRED before they would even order it. (MIND YOU I PAID IN FULL BEFORE ALL OF THIS $1000) Dr. Hang I believe was her name put on the second temporary, as Dr. Cessna was miraculously no longer employed there. I wonder why? They Endo. they sent me to was not in my network after they assured me it was, therefore wasting my time. The second temporary fell off 4 days later and I needed to get in soon. They scheduled me to go to their Preston office so I did. When I get there, the same Dr. Hang? She starts to do something and I asked her "Did you even read my chart first? I have to be on the gas." She said, oh, I remember you! We actually can't do that. We don't even know how to work this machine over here." I was like WHAT? wasting my time, yet again. I still do not have a temporary crown, or a permanent one. And, I also still have not received a refund of my money as of this date. I just called and they now have a new office manager named Amber, who of course is not available. Her supervisor is Emily, and they aren't allowed to give out her number. But they will "call you back." No they will not. I have been waiting for MONTHS!!!! Just about ready to get the court involved because it is absolutely ridiculous.. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! Also while I was there I saw notes on the counter, probably a HIPAA violation showing large dollar amounts and several names to call back, so it seems to me (and as stated in other reviews, and also seeing other angry patients in the office), I am not the only one.
