Easy pickup and return. Overall excellent service from U-Haul at this specific location

This location serves at least three purposes:1. Fuel filling station2. Annual state mandated vehicle inspections3. Neighborhood UHaul pick-up/ drop-off point.I visited recently for the annual personal vehicle inspection. No waiting around in the heat on Monday at 9:30 AM. The inspector was competent and confident, even courteous. $21.50 for a personal vehicle. You need proof of insurance or they don't inspect. You pay inside fuel station before they even look at your car, so make sure you have insurance proof prior to spending time in a line. It gets really congested here with the roadwork causing zero access from west side.I've dropped off UHaul trucks at this point before and it turned out to be more hassle than convenience. I'd skip this UHaul point and visit a branded location in Carrollton or Lewisville right off the freeways.

Terrible location, terrible service. Rented a cargo van from them to move boxes. Load the vehicle up, then find that the back door won't close. Call the location and the owner blames me, says it was okay when it left the lot. Total jerks. Oh, I may add the inside of the van was filthy too. Do not rent. Go elsewhere.

After they messed up my reservation, had me go from Irving to Coppell and then to Dallas to finally get my truck, the young lady in the Dallas was extremely friendly and professional. She definitely made a very bad situation, bearable. The entire experience was really poor and I did not like it, she would have rated I loved it, so they are half way. I hated how they screwed up, yet I paid for it. Extra mileage, more gas than when I got it, and thus was all autonomous. They have you drop the vehicle and said they'd send you the receipt and then add things on when you have nothing to say about it, or contest it. Really poor business...

First of all, this is primarily a gas station that happens to rent U-Haul trucks. This is NOT one of those big U-Haul centers like I thought it was going to be. I drove from Fort Worth to this location because it was close to where I was picking up furniture and the U-Haul website said there were trucks available at this location. When I got here, I realized that this was one of those independent businesses that contracts with U-Haul and is not an official U-Haul location. I walked inside and there was one woman managing the gas station, convenience store, and also trying to manage U-Haul reservations at the same time. Even though I waited in line, she kept making me stand to the side so she could service people buying gas and snacks. At one point, 3 people who seemed to be her friends or repeat customers came in and they chatted for quite a while. I was still standing on the side and hadn't been helped yet. After waiting for 20+ minutes, I decided that I would find a truck elsewhere because this was getting ridiculous. She still had my drivers license, so I asked for it back so I could leave. This is when she finally started looking through her U-Haul reservation system and checking on availability. I stood around for almost 30 minutes for her to tell me that there weren't any trucks available, even though the website said there was. Complete disregard and lack of respect for me and my time. This place should not be renting out U-Haul trucks if they can barely manage their own gas station.

The passport requirement was not communicated over the phone and even though I provided drivers AND Social, I was declined. I've never heard of a reputable business not giving the proper requirements when making a deal, so I want to warn anyone away from making this kind of agreement where one shows up in good faith and is declined for stupid reasons. Looking at the other comments, there's apparently GPS tracking, too, so I don't understand why the passport is needed. Perhaps I'm being vetted in some way? I'd like an honest answer.

I don't know if they were being racist, sexist, or both, but when my wife, a Black woman, went in to rent a van these clowns called me, a white man, to ask if I would give my permission!?! Despite her being grown with a house, job, etc. I could have been literally anyone for all they knew; they just wanted to hear a white man's voice before they would process her order despite her ID, payment, and everything else being perfectly valid. Unbelievable and illegal. They need to lose their UHaul license; they're giving UHaul a bad name.
