I brought my new horse here a month ago and we love it!
Everyone from T, Nancy, the wranglers, the boarders, and the barn cat have been so welcoming and friendly. We love all the staff, but Geraldo the wrangler is always the first to greet me and he always asks if my horse is being good that day. Nancy and the boarders are especially kind and tolerate my never-ending questions as I learn to navigate horse ownership for the first time.
Outside of the arenas (there’s 3!), I love that my young horse can be exposed to new things like cows, donkeys, and birds at the pond. Plus we’re able to get some trail experience just riding around the property before we tackle the nearby Lake Lewisville trails.
Overall, so happy to have found such a hidden gem at this quiet, gorgeous property!

High Meadows isn’t just a barn—it’s a second home for us, and I couldn’t be happier with the care my horse(Turbo) receives. T and Nancy are the real deal, always putting the horses first and making sure they’re happy, healthy, and thriving. They pay attention to the little details, go the extra mile, and are more than happy to accommodate special requests—as long as they’re reasonable and don’t disrupt the barn vibe.
The communication here is chef’s kiss—from the monthly barn updates to the random text messages when my horse is caught doing something cute. It’s like having a built-in horse paparazzi!
If you’re looking for a laid-back, drama-free barn where your horse is treated like royalty and you can sleep soundly at night knowing they’re in the best hands, High Meadows is the place to be. I highly recommend you check them out. Also, the grounds and trails are amazing. We do weekly trial rides on Saturday-- weather permitting of course. We had family photo's taken on the property too that turned out amazing! I love Pedro our wrangler, he really cares about the horses. I can not say enough about our home away from home!

I almost hesitate to write this review because I’d love to keep High Meadow Stables as my little secret! After boarding at a few other places in the area, I’ve been here for a year now, and my horse, Fiona, has never been happier, more relaxed, or healthier. Nancy and T are incredibly passionate about every horse and go above and beyond to meet both my needs and Fiona’s. Beyond the care, the communication is top-notch - individual texts as needed, regular email updates and newsletters. I never have to worry when I take a vacation, which is huge.
What I love most is the welcoming, community-driven atmosphere. High Meadow is a pleasure barn with a wonderful mix of disciplines (I’m a pleasure jumper), and the camaraderie among boarders is truly special. From group trail rides to bonfires and picnics, there are always events that bring us together to celebrate our shared love for horses. I’m so grateful to have found this barn—it's a rare gem!

I am so glad I found this barn when I did. These guys care. A lot. From the ranch hands, to each boarder, the manager, and especially the owner, I have experienced nothing but kindness, compassion, and genuine caring from everyone for each animal that crosses these gates. The ducks that visit the pond get fed every night. The barn cats are fed, vetted, and loved. Repairs are made quickly. Each of the 50+ horses are cared for as individuals. I worry about NOTHING. If you own a horse, that is huge. You are always worried if their head will fall off in the pasture. If it does, you're getting an immediate phone call. With 6+ people who live on site, there is always someone watching them. My horse is actually happy here. I'm happy here. What a place!

I can’t say enough how much Sky and I love our new barn. We’ve been here a couple of months. I love the beautiful and easy going atmosphere. The staff is top notch. They are so helpful and take care of Sky’s needs.

I have boarded at High Meadow Stables for a year and couldn’t be happier! The animals are well taken care of and the stalls are cleaned regularly. Nancy provides timely updates to keep everyone informed of changes/planned activities. The atmosphere is warm and friendly with close proximity to beautiful riding trails. I can’t imagine a better place to keep my riding mule!

I can’t say enough about the attention to detail and level of care my horses receive at High Meadows. T and Nancy truly exemplify putting the horses first. They are accommodating to special requests as long as they do not interfere with others or are unmanageable. Communication is excellent from the monthly barn emails to text messages if something has changed or even if they just caught one of my horses doing something cute. If you are looking for a low-key place to board your horse where you will never worry about his or her well-being, then check out High Meadows.

The barn manager, owner and ranch hands here are so so very nice! Stalls are cleaned regularly. We have boarded at several barns and that seems hard to come by. So we were thrilled to not have to spend hours a week cleaning the stall. It has also been enlightening to be some place where the staff is kind. And, no barn drama here either, which is a blessing. If you are looking for riding lessons, Amber is sweet!

This place is run with passion and professionalism. It's hard to find facilities with so much turn out, high quality and knowledgeable care, and direct access to miles of horse trails. High Meadow checks all of these boxes... a little piece of heaven on earth.

Would be 0 stars if I could!! Horrible place to board horses. The stables are dirty! The tack rooms are trash, floors falling out and plain dirty! The entire boarding facility is in disrepair. The staff is non-responsive to requests for horses needs, like ensuring food quantity at levels required by vets! The hands routinely forget to latch gates and horses get out and walk around, they forget to turnout horses on time, I find the barn staff sleeping during work hours almost daily. Just plain poor service for the care of horses and owners requests. Owner only boards horses to pay for the Arabian breeding business! Does not care about boarding side of business! Don't board here if care for your horse.

We have stabled our horse here for almost 5 years now. We love having Sadie here. She's an older horse so she needs a little "extra" care. The owner always keeps an eye on her and lets us know as soon as she sees anything of concern so that we can address it quickly. She is also very caring and easy to work with on any questions we may bring to her. The hands are attentive and take very good care of these horses. The facility is amazing - there's a large outdoor arena as well as a large indoor arena. Everyone who boards their horses here are so nice and pleasant to be around. I highly recommend this place.
