Did my taxes on March 22nd at the H&R Block in Copperas Cove. They deducted $350 for their fee out of the refund. My wife and I returned to the H&R Block that Tuesday to do an amendment which substantially increased our refund. We added her school transcript which I did not know would increase our refund. Three weeks later we got a refund deposited into my checking account. It was for the original now H&R Block is saying they do not have the amendment on file, nor any paper trail of it. I said I have a stack of papers plus the tax preparer signature and badge number who did the amendment. They said they would do another amendment but they would have to charge me another fee from my refund. I did pay an additional fee of$45 after the amendment was supposedly filed. They want another$350 to fix what they screwed up. I told my wife I'll take the loss and never do my taxes at H&R Block again. Yes I'm missing out on over 1800.00, but it's the principle of the matter.
The saddest part about this whole episode is that H&R Block has a signature on their envelopes saying that they stand behind every signatures on the documents that they file..

There are tax consultants everywhere you go, need not mention any at all except for H&R.. Their staff is very knowledgeable helpful that works with you on appointment times, gathering of information and any tips needed. Why go anywhere else, ask yourself. 15 years withH&R.

Absolutely horrible! We had a scheduled appointment and no tax professionals! Didn’t apologize and basically question us even though they admitted they had the appointment! Never will I use H&R Block again! We don’t have time to play games with appointments! Not to mention they canceled our first appointment as well!

My husband and I have been customers of H & R for 15 years. We’ve never had a bad experience, however, they’ve lost us as customers. My husband arrived at our 4:30 pm appointment on time and I arrived shortly after. We were told that our appointment would be pushed back to 5pm instead. As we waited, we noticed a few other couples come in after us. When 5 pm came, several preparers came from the back to take customers. The preparers chose all of the other customers first and suggested we do a drop off service. This is unfair because we had already waited 30 minutes and our appointment was basically cancelled/postponed, again. My husband is active duty military and we’ve used H&R Block due to our family constantly relocating. Needless to say, we’re filing at Jackson Hewitt moving forward.
