I was in Albertson’s in Corinth this afternoon, stopped at the Starbucks counter and ordered, then sat down at one of the tables. One of the employees, a woman named Mel, waved at me from one of the checkout stands, then walked over to my table and asked how I was doing. She usually works at the customer service desk, and we often chat a little bit.
I was having an emotional day, and Mel’s shift had just ended. She sat down with me, and we talked awhile and when she got up to leave, she asked if I needed a hug. That was such a kind gesture and so appreciated. Kay, a grateful customer.
