Beware: Have a backup option to travel. Alamo, using the Enterprise desk, will not accept valid driver’s licenses from all US states. We had absolutely everything in order and were left STRANDED due to what they stated was a local policy not to accept licenses that were perfectly acceptable to TSA.

Waited almost 10 minutes at an empty desk before the Enterprise employee said she could help us. Stood in line 30 minutes for them to tell my mother, WHO IS A US CITIZEN WITH A US PASSPORT, she could not rent although she had a UK driver's license, insurance, and again, a US Passport. They said they required a Visa. You can NOT get a Visa from the UK when you're a US citizen. Period. We pulled up the embassy website to show them. She's rented many times here before. The employee called her area manager who agreed with her.We then called the customer service and spoke to a higher manager who said ALAMO AT CORPUS CHRISTI AIRPORT IS INCORRECT AND WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE CAR. They are forwarding this issue to internal support and should be calling us this week once this is resolved with the local management in order for us to finally, maybe, pick up a car.

The employee called her area manager who agreed with her since "he's a dual citizen and has to have one."
We then called the customer service and spoke to a higher manager who said ALAMO AT CORPUS CHRISTI AIRPORT IS INCORRECT AND WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE CAR. I strongly encourage you not to use this car rental agency. I rented a vehicle last minute there was a machete shoved between the seats. I was told it have the smell of smoke, but they did not tell me that the vehicle reeked from marijuana!Extremely disappointed and frustrated!

I booked a car at this rental at the airport and received confirmation that it would be ready after 12:00 pm. My flight schedule was modified after placing my reservation. I ended up being placed on another flight from San Jose some six hours later. When I finally arrived at Corpus Christi airport, I was told by the “white” receptionist that they could not provide me a black man” a car because I had arrived late and they had given my reserved rental to someone else. I was told that they had no other cars but in the next 10 minutes they were accommodating seven other customers, who were predominantly white with their reservations. Is this what Texans still do down here?

I rented a high end SUV and paid up front. I get to the airport and all they can give me is a minivan. Total bait and switch. Use a different company.

Nice job to Alamo for your flexibility during a recent car rental in Corpus Christi, Texas. A hurricane was bearing down on the city and all the flights out were cancelled, so Alamo gave me a reduced "drop charge" and let me drive the car to Houston Hobby. I was able to get home safely the next day. Thanks

What is the point of having a reservation if I have to wait an hour for the vehicle I reserved the previous day? What is the point of having a pick up time if you have to wait an extended time to pick it up? Common customer curiosity can go a long way. I don't mind the waiting portion as long as some one keeps me informed and not forgotten!
