We had so much fun attending the clay magic class with Nichole and Adam on Sept 29. Bummed that we couldn’t take our project home that night, but we understand it has to go through the drying/kiln process and we could pick up our projects in 2-3 weeks. It has now been over 3 weeks and I’ve had to call twice for updates. Today when I called I was told that our projects hadn’t even been fired yet because the kiln was backed up with “community stuff” … whatever that means… we paid for this class so I don’t understand why our projects were put on the back burner.
I was so excited to take this class again and promote it to everyone in the area but now, I would not recommend it. I understand delays happen, but the communication is severely lacking with this class.
Update: We received notification on 10/24 that our pieces would be ready for pickup beginning 10/27. When we arrived, two of our pieces were missing. Since the people who run the class don’t work for the art center, no one was there to help us. I immediately emailed the instructors, but it is now two days later and I’ve not received a response.

As a tourist attraction, the galleries at the art center are definitely worth a visit and there's no entrance fee if you choose to do so. This review is primarily for those interested in hosting an event or wedding in one of the available venue spaces. The art center is gorgeous and there are wonderful views in the Bay View room. I would be cautious recommending these venues primarily because the communication regarding rental coordination isn't the best. Other venues we reached out to when trying to get information usually provided us most of what we needed in the first couple of emails. In this case, it took several emails to get all of the needed information, as the coordinator would forget to provide certain documents, or answer questions that were asked. Due to the communication issues, we decided to go with a different venue, but it is a beautiful space.

Oh! My dear Loats Jesus. This is a wonderful place to visit. It has a restaurant to enjoy a great meal. Prices on the painting and crafts are at a great price. I took many pictures to enjoy watching. I will share with you all. I hope this helps. We did not have to pay for entrance. It was free. You will need to ask to make sure. Very nice people out there that are willing to help you out.

Visited the art center off the bay on a whim. The free entry sign enticed us in. The gallery is clean and appointed nicely. It mainly features works from local artists. Has a mix photography and hand drawn/painted works. There are rooms that can be utilized for creating artwork. Location is great. There is a restaurant within the same building.

Although the outside wedding area is absolutely beautiful, the service is very poor. The staff is super slow when it comes to helping guests or the family that hired them. Reception to sit down dinner was not a smooth transaction in fact it took staff to long to get everything situated because there was only 3 of them to move 17 tables and put back the chairS to that table. You have an hour to clean up after your event, which would be okay if staff was on top of their job and cleaning up the tables afterwards. Also manager of the event should be more involved making sure the client stays happy and has everything they need. She sat down the whole time and when asked for necessary items to clean it was like she was bothered. Almost wished she would have chugged that mixed drink the bartender made her maybe then she’d loosen up and lose the chip on shoulder. So just to sum it up beautiful venue invest in better staff who are professionals and actually enjoy helping brides make her wedding dreams come to life as this is what it’s all about!

So much amazing and local art here! We had the pleasure of visiting during the week and had the whole place to ourselves to enjoy. I’m not sure who the gentleman was at the front, but I really appreciate his mentality when we asked him how much the admission fee was and he plainly said something around the lines of, “It’s free. Art should always be free to enjoy”. Thank y’all for all the great art and for keeping it free for everyone to enjoy ? I believe you can also purchase some of art. We will definitely be back. Below are some of my favorite pieces of art!

When I moved here in Ingleside Texas I am am an artist and looking for a place where I meet the artists and I found out about the place call Corpus Christi Art Center in Corpus Christi Tx and now I am a regular member there, where I associate with all my artist friends there and they love my service dog Rocky and it's lots of fun to go there and do paintings with all the artists. They have beautiful paintings there, sculptures. I have won third place on my painting at the Corpus Christi Art Center and I am very proud.

This art center is ok if you are a tourist looking for a quick stop while downtown/ on the marina. There is a variety of pricing so there is opportunity to bring home something you like.As an artist I have found it to be frustrating, disappointing and a general waste of time and energy to work with this art center. I tend to find juried results consistently baffling.I think it would have been a more positive experience for me to show here when I was a high school artist, not an adult with an education and years of experience. But that's me.If you are an artist I think there are probably better opportunities.

3.6....It is a nice place to see local art and artists.Free to enter and art for purchase on display.Having a background in art, I was looking forward to seeing the displays and talent. There are truly some great pieces there on canvas, pottery, photography, and other talents. When judging art, you do have a biased opinion no matter what people will tell you. So, with that said, do not look for the ones that were awarded ribbons to meet your same taste. You can see the judges' favoritism in medium and style. There are a few too many pieces that are overpriced, yet there also a good amount that are spot on for their style, medium, and labor to create. If you enjoy art and appreciate talent, stop in.Cheers
