  They were just trying to sell us stuff we didn't need since we are tourists here. I know a decent amount about fishing so I knew to say no to all the extra stuff they tried to sell but most people wouldn't know. They also weren't helpful with where to fish around Corpus.

  We came here our first day on vacation to catch some fish at a buddy's house. It was very hard to find live shrimp at the time we stopped, so I would recommend coming early. We were able to get some frozen shrimp and still caught a couple catfish with them. The guy that helped us was super friendly.
