I recently moved from WA state, so I had to do a video tour prior to moving. I will never do that again, especially with a company like this!
The house had issue after issue! Broken Deadbolts on front and back door that took days to address. Broken fence in the back allowing the neighbors dog access. Water leaked through the ceiling after it rained. Gas leak in the upstairs attic causing my daughter to get extremely sick and myself too. Tons of ants that got into all my food and I had to toss. With constant issues, I decided to look elsewhere and move out. I moved in June, leaving the house extremely clean, my dad even came to mow the yard. I left it so nice that they were able to find a renter within that month to move in. So the company lost no money, yet they will not return my deposit. They ignore all messages just as they did when I lived there.
Horrible company. Please do your research prior to using them!

I used to work for this company and they are always going out of their way to make sure their tenants have all the thing’s necessary for these rental homes. They always went above and beyond. There is a reason that most of their tenants have been with them for years.

Excel properties is one of the most professional and efficient property management businesses. The business is currently under new management and Twyla made the process of finding a home as smooth as butter. I am greatly appreciative of all staff as they provide superb customer service.

Definitely take heed to this warning. They come off like they are going to be there to take care of your home and help you through the process to the very end. They never return your phone call after you've signed contract. We were told they would call us later in the day after a walk-through with us when tenants moved out. This was our first time using a property manager and we will NEVER recommend these unreliable, rude, non responsive, lack of customer service company again. TWILA never returns a phone call, her husband turned into the most rude Individual when we were just trying to get someone to answer our questions for next steps. KIM the office manager again didn't return our phone call. It's been weeks since taking back our home and we have yet to hear from ANYONE. taking action will be our next step. Oh and don't expect to drive to their office , it's an empty suite!

I have been with excel for the past 7 Years . They have new owners and I have had great response with them to all concerns. Twyla the owner and overseer is pleasant, kind and always attentive to concerns. Maintenance is thorough and also friendly. I have moved two times now going on three with them and each time received my deposit for my home in good standing. They will take great care of you. This is my first choice and first recommendation.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. I would AVOID entering into a binding contract with this company AT ALL COSTS.We were told that the rental property (Cruiser Street, Corpus Christi, TX) had complete renovations 100% finished on the inside and only the siding on the outside needed to be done. ON THE DAY WE WERE SUPPOSED TO MOVE IN, as you can see from the pictures, there are: gaps in the floor, quarter round is missing, baseboards need painted, light switch face plates are cracked, light switches themselves are sunken in, the yard needs cleaned, etc., and, oh, yeah, THERE'S LITERAL HUMAN FECES ALL OVER THE TOILETS!!! When asked about having everything fixed/cleaned so we could move, Tim Voorkamp, the property owner & manager replied, "We've done everything to the property that we want done" and offered us nothing more.All this, on top of an RIDICULOUS $500 non-refundable pet deposit per pet!Additionally, the communication between the support staff (Twyla) and management (Tim) is terrible, at best. Tim is just as rude and short on the phone as he is in person (actually worse in person). Twyla, while not always helpful, is at least nice on the phone.This organization is NOT Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited, for obvious reasons. You've been warned.

Absolutely terrible service. The woman working the desk needs to be fired or retrained. I called for a week trying to schedule a viewing of a property. She kept putting us off saying they were unable to show the house. When I finally was able to schedule for the showing I was called less than 1 hour from the viewing time to let me know that the house was no longer available. She also argued with me over the appointment time saying that I had set it at an earlier time in the day which is completely incorrect. How this company is still running blows my mind.

HORRIBLE!! Nothing but issues with the house and became inhabitable to live in due to them not fixing the problem! Now they want to sue us when their house collapsed on us!
