I called because they were on a list of resources given to me by my psychiatrist, as I was living with my mother who lost her job & got evicted. I heard they may be able to help with getting a deposit & 1st months rent. I called and informed them I was homless & "living" in a car thats belongs to a friend. I received a call back from a case manager I wont name. He had an extremely rude & condescending tone the entire phone call. He asked where Iworked, I told him I get SSDI he replied rudely "so you don't work?". No, as I'm disabled. He asked how much I get a month and when I informed him he said "wow, that's a lot". I recieve way below the poverty level, my income is not really a lot. He asked me if I've looked for places to rent.. of course I have. He said I should be able to afford a 1 bedroom with my income. I might be able to pay the rent at some places, but I wouldnt have enough money left to cover water, electric, food & other necessities. Also I would only be able to afford one month rent at a time, not rent and a deposit and application fees and any other fees a rental would need. In addition most places want you to make 2-3x the rent, which I don't. I informed him of the eviction & a broken lease from a year ago and he told me it would be hard to find a place with those on my record. I know that, that's why I'm calling a so called "charity", to get help. He spoke to me in a condescending and rude tone the entire time. He made me feel stupid for even trying to get help. He made me feel unworthy of receiving help. I was so worked up & crying because of how he was speaking to me I ended just telling him "nevermind, sorry for wasting your time" and ending the call. I will never ask for help from any sort of "charity" ever again because according to this case manager I don't need help.

Do not get your hopes up, no pun intended. They won't help you. Not even if you have a kid .

Very wonderful organization. I always feel so welcomed and comfortable speaking to all of the staff members. I have made sure to share this information with my friends and family members who might need these services.

Maybe y'all should give specific dates and times when these women are able to get the diapers, formula and wipes they need for their infants, and another thing not everyone has the same time to get what is needed y'all need to allow pick ups everyday until a certain time period this is absolutely a disgrace especially for a non profit organization this is why people have no Faith or Believe in anything anymore and feel there is no where they can really get the help they need with God's grace and love from these so called worker's where is your compassion

They use to be so good here. I was 5 minutes late to my appointment and she said next time they would have to reschedule. I asked if I could have wipes. She said next week we give out wipes. I haven't gotten wipes in over a month maybe two. I'm not there every single week only when I really need. I don't understand why they feel the need to always talk down on people. Every single time I go in here I have a bad experience. I would not recommend anyone go here unless it's your last resort. ?️
