Really great museum with a good mix of educational exhibits and interactive playground style exhibits to keep kids engaged. We really loved the live in-costume historian at the saloon and the birding station with in-person experts presenting interesting facts with taxidermied specimen that the kids could see and sometimes touch. The outdoor playground has a lot of fun equipment and musical pieces. We saw a lizard in the gardens and loved the fragrant cherry blossom tree!

This place has an amazing amount and array of historical items. You could spend a whole day learning if you wanted to read every placard. The man acting in the general store is an absolute treasure of a human. He is so knowledgeable and friendly! Please do not miss stopping there! You will learn a lot.The science area was a proportionally small area of the museum. It also seemed designed for smaller kids. That said, it seemed pretty cool and the kids in there appeared to enjoy it.Parents of small children should be careful to monitor their children in the history sections of the museum. There are some artifacts that some parents were allowing their children to play with when they shouldn't.

We had s great time here! Loved seeing all the neat artifacts, and learning about the history behind them. All the employees/volunteers were nice, friendly and helpful. If you have young kids, I'd suggest bringing a stroller and maybe a water bottle. The last time I visited here, over 10 years ago, they used to rent out strollers, but I didn't see any available this time. It's also best to come early, when it's not too crowded; and plan on spending at least a couple hours or so, otherwise you won't be able to see everything.

This is not anything like the San Antonio Children's Museum and the price reflects that. You can effectively comb the whole place in 3 hours. They have the option to do a scavenger hunt while you are there. If you find all the items, then you can turn it in and get a prize. It had a lot of cute displays and a lot of labor and love went into this building. I really loved the geology area, but I also love rocks. I found the history of Corpus interesting and the Natives that lived in the area before the settlers. The dinosaur area was nostalgic for me because my grandfather loved to collect fossils. The science play area is adorable and very aesthetically pleasing. I don't think there was a lot of learning happening in the area because the kids were too small and we're focused on the DNA slide and building blocks. While we were here there appeared to be 3 separate tour groups from schools. It looked like the guides had a lot to say in the areas so I bet that would be something interesting to do. This was something like an art museum as well, I really enjoyed all of the paintings. There was also a playground with some musical instruments. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. We were there for 2 hours and were able to glance at everything.

Back in February of we stopped by & learned about the history of Corpus Christi.I’ve been coming here for years, especially when I was a kid in school. As an adult I can still enjoy it with my family because they always have new history to be discovered. I definitely recommend visiting this museum if you’re in the area or coming for vacation. My friend is a member of the Texas State Aquarium and one of those benefits is you get discounts on tickets at other local attractions.I didn’t have to pay for my ticket but I did have to pay for my nephew, which was only about $10.Become a member today; online or on location ?Individual Benefits include:•Free admission for 1 & guest•Members only events•Free popcorn•10% off parties and gift shopWe walked like a dinosaur through the prehistoric exhibit, we even got to see the Hall of Earth & Science We learned about the local Native American settlements and got to see artifacts from a Spanish Shipwreck in 1554!At the end of the tour the kids spent an hour playing at the HEB Science Center. Super interactive and kept them entertained

We really enjoyed our visit, and I think this might be the best museum that Corpus has to offer. The educational content was vast and interesting. We even ran across a guide dressed as a cowboy who had some fun history lessons about the Nuyces Valley area. They give you a map at the front desk which has a scavanger hunt that helps guide you through the exhibits. The floor plan was a bit confusing at first, but eventually it made sense. I definitely recommend this museum. It even has a cool kids area (that adults might still enjoy), and one half of the museum is the science stuff and the other half the history stuff.

This place is gorgeous! So clean, so full of interesting things. It was sad to see how empty it was when we went but it was early in the day.If you have a chance go check it out! Wonderful museum for the price

Great museum with a wide variety of displays and artifacts. Presentation was top notch and informative. Many aspects and eras of regional History were represented. Many fine specimens of fossils and minerals were displayed in the Science area. Clean environment and friendly staff members add to the overall pleasant experience.

This was a really nice place. Spent about 2.5 hours here exploring everything. I would highly recommend going to the general store and sitting down for the presentation. The "store keeper" gave an excellent show and explained everything with enthusiasm. Definitely the star of the trip. I took off a star because the science section was a big let down. Most things were either broken or missing. A big disappointment as it's sponsored by HEB so someone isn't pulling their fair share.

We really enjoyed the museum. It's smaller than some of the others we visited but it has a lot of diverse history in their displays. I love the information on the dinosaurs! The rooms with the historical figures was nice for children as well. Overall it touches a little about a lot of things. Bring your children and let them explore! You will enjoy it as well.

I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. I couldn't even get the tiny bag of popcorn that's supposed to come with our membership because the lady bogarting it, gave me the third degree and then said my daughter couldn't get any without my jumping through a bunch of hoops again. I had already proved my membership several times over and she's seen my family here before because I've had a membership for the last 2 years. I didn't even want it anymore. Old, cold popcorn she scraped off the bottom of the machine, was not worth all the attitude and hoops. It's literally one of the cheapest things there is, for Pete's sake. Not worth annoying patrons like that and I do not appreciate the insinuation that I was lying. Like I said, if I can't even get a little bag of old popcorn, that is supposed to come with my almost $200 membership, it's not worth it. I usually come because my kids like the park. (They have an amazing indoor play area and interactive stuff for the kids) but they are completely uninterested in anything else because we have been coming for the last two years and they've seen everything several times. There are free parks everywhere and even free splash pads. This one doesn't look like it's going to be up and running any time soon. I asked one of the gentleman behind the counter, if the water area was up and running because they had a sign for it. He snapped, "no". I don't think I'll be renewing my membership again because I don't feel very welcomed.

This was a nice museum. Was informative on several subjects and had a great interactive kids area. It is also a great place to get out of the Texas heat for a couple of hours. It was cool inside, and they had clean bathrooms and water fountainsPrice for entry: $12
