The store itself is just okay. A few of the ladies that work there can be short/rude. It’s overpriced but CVS rewards and coupons help substantially!
The pharmacy staff has always been great. Our family is frequently picking up prescriptions and they have always been pleasant and professional. You can tell they are working hard and burnt out - but that speaks more to corporate practices and insurance companies shifting more administrative burdens on to them, than it does about the pharmacists and techs.

I do not know what Cvs corporate practices are, but what I do know is the Cvs on Padre Island is absolutely terrible. Kayla, a pharmacy tech actually called my wife and told her they were no longer giving her pharmacy services and they were sending her to H-E-B last I checked a pharmacy tech did not have that power when I spoke with the pharmacist he stated we have not discontinued your services at this point I cannot trust anything. We have been continuously targeted as terrible customers when all we do is pay for our prescriptions. This borders on discrimination.

The girls that helped me that afternoon were so nice and went above and beyond to help me and my grandson. I always love going to this CVS.

Extremely Unprofessional and Degrading Experience – Needs Corporate Attention
I’ve never felt compelled to write a review like this before, but my repeated experiences at this CVS location have been deeply upsetting and inappropriate.
During a recent visit, an older Hispanic woman—possibly in her 50s, with bleach blonde hair—approached me at self-checkout and loudly said, “Someone smells like onions,” while looking directly at me. I was freshly showered, no one else was nearby, and the comment felt completely targeted and humiliating. It’s hard to understand what the intention behind it was, other than to be rude and demeaning.
Sadly, this wasn’t an isolated incident. I also witnessed an employee publicly berating another worker named Taylor at the front register—yelling at her to “go clean her face” and threatening her job in front of customers. It was genuinely hard to watch, and incredibly unprofessional. Taylor, if you see this: I hope you leave that toxic work environment. No one deserves to be treated like that.
To top it off, the store manager recently followed me out to my car after I accidentally entered the wrong PIN during checkout. They aggressively grabbed the items from my vehicle and accused me of shoplifting then comes today as I’m regular literally every day shopper and the same store manager confronted me by starting off with “I’m not sure if you’re doing this on purpose but it happened again” in what world would anyone after making a mistake that caused an issue would continue shopping there daily and do the same thing again on purpose I’ve never stolen anything in my life and I’m often shopping in a hurry due to my 6 year old being in the car. any error was unintentional. I’m sorry if the store had to void a $2 transaction, but this kind of treatment is unacceptable.
The amount of odd interactions I’ve had and clearly others have had as well due to the amount of 1 star reviews is absurd and everyone should stay far far away from this CVs until they resolve what ever internal problems they have
The overall atmosphere at this CVS feels hostile, unprofessional, and degrading. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable in a retail environment, and I won’t be returning. This store needs to be investigated. Customers and employees alike deserve better than this.

Service here has been poor here for a long time (four years).
Hopefully you like checking yourself out (while the “manager” sits down and watches you).
I honestly think she’s just miserable, I don’t even think it’s malicious. If you’re a local, you know who I’m referring to. We avoid the CVS and use Dollar General or IGA. When we do use the CVS we do our best to be kind to “the manger”.
I’ve seen how “the manager” treats employees, and it’s gross. I was manager of three oil field facilities and 72 employees, and I would never have dreamed of being so rude and short. I asked my husband (Chief of Operations) and he agreed that the work environment is toxic and unacceptable.
We all know retail is hell, but the fact that your manager (S) is still there after multiple complaints just really solidifies the fact.

Husband and I ran off without sunscreen and hats. CVS had us covered at good prices.

Was using self checkout for one item and wasn’t gonna bag it since it was one item we could easily carry.
Employee guy wasn’t even paying attention and gave us a passive-aggressive lecture about how we need to put things in the bagging area even though we didn’t need to bag it.

First at the pharmacy one of my subscriptions was. Not recirdered when I placed my order. When I asked who or why not the answer was marginally responded to. Just seemed like an oh well.
However when checking out another order not at the pharmacy the attendant could not have been more gracious and worked very hard to get my problem rectified..

The old lady with long gray hair, Marie is extremely rude. She will constantly try to make you pay for medication without insurance. I wish they would fire her for how incompetent she is. A true disgrace to this store as the young woman and young man who work here are insanely kind.

Good selection, clean store; however Suzie seems miserable and seems to enjoy rushing customers out of the bathroom when they're mid-bathroom break, and tell other employees to watch them be paying customers.
