We are loyal Dillards customers, and love the quality of clothing, cleanliness and atmosphere . However, today, we were disappointed in the customer service we received. Shopping in the Tommy Bahama section, I had to walk across the aisle, just a few feet, to ask for help. The 2 associates were in a conversation, laughing, and I literally had to say something before the male associate acknowledged me.
I asked if there was any way he could check for a certain size in a shirt. His response was,, “ Well I can, but usually what we have there is it. We don’t carry back stock”. And he quickly turned back to his conversation with the other associate.
So if he said, “ Well I can”, THEN WHY DIDN’T HE MAKE THE EFFORT FOR A CUSTOMER WHO ASKED??? Very disappointed, the associates have always been very helpful to try to find something we are looking for.

Dillard’s is by far the best store at La Palmera Mall. Men’s department always well staffed and attention to the customer. Women and children’s department seem busy and well stocked w seasonal attire. The home furnishings such as beds, living rooms etc is adequate. Not sure who shops there but at least they are available to shoppers. The cosmetics and shoe department for both men and women seem to be the biggest draws to this store, in my opinion. Men’s fragrance is the best in town. Hope this helps. Happy shopping.

It's a good thing my wife loves Dillards because otherwise I would've walked out without giving them a single penny. I went in to buy a gift card for my wife's birthday and when I entered I simply went to the first checkout station I could find that was attended. The woman was counting coins in her cash register so I politely stood silently in front of her so she didn't lose count. I assumed she would acknowledge me when she finished counting the dimes. I was wrong.
After she finished the dimes she wrote the number on a piece of paper and then completely ignored me and moved on to the nickels. After a few more seconds I realized that she wasn't going to acknowledge me since apparently counting coins is much more important than actual customer service. I finally found another cashier at a different station and got my wife her gift card but the whole experience left a very bad taste in my mouth.
