I have been banking with them since 2018. They were the only ones who would give me a loan to start my business. My credit score was 740 and I was making 80k a year and had been a customer with Wells Fargo for 8 years at the time and they wouldn’t give me a loan to save my life. Now that I’ve got my business running they are my primary account. I only have one complaint, sometimes they would take the money for the loan from my account days before the due date and sometimes I’d pay on the due date (on a business day) and they’d take the money out again the next day because it hadn’t registered in their system yet. Other than that it’s only been pleasant experiences and customer service are always really helpful and friendly.If they can have a system that updated in a more timely manner then I’d rate 5 stars.

Needed to cash a check larger than $225 to help a friend out. Asked the (incompetent, as I know now) teller to not run the check and instead just give me the sum from my account. Teller then decides to both run the check as well as give me the requested sum. When called out on this, visibly seemed confused about such a simple task. It was hard to convey any simpler what I wanted.While i overall trust this bank, ill definitely be looking out next time for such less-than- desirable teller.

Today I went to the branch no deposit tickets. No envelopes ! Branch employees NOT helpful in my transaction . I went back for another transaction minutes later and guess what THEY HAD ENVELOPES. DONT KNOW WHATS GOING ON. Maybe she just didn’t like me lol

The NFCU is the largest federal credit union in the word. My husband has been a member for decades and decades, and fortunately for me, we married and I became a member! NFCU is a well run, professional organization, and we are totally satisfied with their services.

NFCU is a 5 star organization but beware of the loan department! A few years ago we had a house fire. We had to live in a hotel for three months during repairs. We had insurance, thank God! But the savings went quick! I called NFCU loan department to see if they could help. Real nice guy over the phone got me a $20,000.00 Home Improvement loan at 15% interest. I balked and said, "No way!" The guy was smooth as silk saying, "Don't worry about the interest rate because as soon as the repairs are done, you call us and we will switch to a home equity loan at 3-5% interest." Yeah, I know! I believed him! It's on me! So anyway, I got the loan and the house looked great! I call NFCU back and try to talk to the same guy. No one knows him! I explain the situation to the new loan officer and he is real positive about the switch and takes my information. After two weeks of nothing I call them back and talk to a third loan officer and he tells me, "Oh yeah, we did a 'drive by' on your property and your application was rejected for an equity loan!" Let me see here, s***** on the line with a 15% interest rate. Change it to a 3-5% loan? Ha ha ha ha ha ha! sorry, no can do! By the way I had $150,000 equity built at that time! My wife and I have been to NFCU several times about accounting errors on this loan. We get the old, "sorry, nothing we can do about it!" I have been with NFCU over 25 years and this is the only problem I have ever had with them. And by the way I am about to pay that loan off real soon!

My husband had been a customer of Bank of America for 9 years in 2020, and for 5 years (starting 2014 when we married) I was a customer. We hated Bank of America for the duration we were with them. We had numerous bad experiences with them and were constantly getting charged ridiculous banking fees. In October 2020 we made the decision to cut ties with them and start banking with Navy Federal because we had heard lots of great things about them and my dad is a Navy Veteran and suggested it to us. This past year has been a great banking with them and they will have our business for the rest of our lives. The customer service over the phone, online, and the Corpus Christi branch has been phenomenal! We never have problems banking with them, we are never charged ridiculous banking fees like boa did, and they care about their customer like family. Today I went into the branch and missed them closing by two minutes. I explained I lived out of town and rushed here right after work and barely missed them. They with no hesitation helped me just replace my missing debit card with no hassles and delivered prompt excellent customer service. I recommend this credit union to any veterans or veteran family members to bank with Navy Federal because they are nation wide and always treat their customers very well!

They pay close attention to detail and follow the rules/guidelines exactly how they are suppose to. Everyone I have come into contact with there has went above and beyond. The best credit union/ bank hands down!!
