Since my previous post has been deleted, I will post again: I used to LOVE to shop this store. The employees were knowledgeable and went so far as learning what I had, liked and might like. They smiled and were so friendly. THEY were the reason I went back. They are almost all gone now. This new "manager" is AWFUL. I pay for a couple premier rewards plans. He did not even LOOK for rewards or my discounts THAT I PAY FOR MONTHLY. when I pointed it out, by asking politely if they had been applied, he ignored me, then YELLED over me because apparently, it was more important to lock the door. I was a customer that spent thousands there. This dude was rude to me on multiple occasions. Yelled at my friend and I once and then preceded to hover repeatedly, like a creepy stalker. He has made everyone incredibly uncomfortable. When I can smell the weed on you, you are too close. I'm out. This is insane to me to lose almost your ENTIRE staff because of 1 piss poor "manager". Yep, Luther. I have NEVER seen the animals in this store in the conditions they are now. It is disgusting. I have NEVER had such horrible customer service. Gabe, Mae, Ruben and Tannis were all phenomenal. I will be taking my money somewhere else. The reasons that I went there are almost all gone. This company has made their priority clear. This dude stays. Good luck with your choice, Petco. You have made it clear that you do NOT care about your employees OR your customers. You need to do better.

What has this world come to? What happened to the days when people were happy to help and educate customers regarding pets. Now you get staff members that make you feel like a complete inconvenience to them. Hello, it's your job to help the customers that keep your doors open. Staff member Luther was the worst. He totally makes you feel unwelcome and like you are a complete waste of his time. I had a very unpleasant experience at this store. I would rather drive the extra 30 minutes to petsmart than have to deal with staff like that again.

It was mainly the worker that caused this experience, but me, my mother and my son went in to ask a few questions about a lizard and the woman with a brown hair black lipstick and was white had a super mean and rude attitude, and when my mother asked one simple thing she goes WHAT!?!? So,terrible customer service on the one experience of being in that Petco

The store manager Luther is a complete prude. Hands down rudest man I have ever met to run a retail store. He needs to be fired for how he talks to customers. I had to return an item and he automatically assumed it was stolen and laughed about it to my face in front of other customers when all I wanted was to swap a defected item. However... A wonderful solution specialist by the name of Mae B. Handled the situation perfectly and was very kind hearted. Five stars to Mrs. Mae. Luther, if I could leave zero for you - I would.

came in 20 minutes before closing, to grab one thing and staff was very unhappy. Everyone that saw me kept telling me we close in this many minutes, I didn’t even get to look, I’ll stick to going to the other petco! If you are needing something last minute I’d advise you to go to another store!🙂

went to this Petco, and they were very rude, instead of asking me if I need help they would look at me and turn away to talk to each other, 4 people working not one said hello or asked if I needed help, and they were not busy except for talking to each other about non work related topics.

I am giving the place 2 stars because I brought my dogs here for grooming 1 is 14 and has been getting groomed her whole life and the other not 1 yet and the young girl cut both dogs and the puppies ears. I get it that he is young, but she did not even say anything to me about it. I did not even know until I got home. I do not recommend anyone to go there to get their dogs groomed. The store was fine. The employees in the store were nice.

***Warning to proper breeders***
The crickets at Petco seem to really have gone downhill. Quite a disappointment to us as we spent upwards of $100+ on crickets MONTHLY.
We gut-load our crickets for 8+ hours before feeding because if you don't there isn't any real reason to feed crickets anyway.
Calcium plus D3 powder which is ultra fine but will NOT kill crickets within 30 seconds of dusting.
I will NOT opt for a pre bag of crickets when I live 45+ minutes away from this store which unfortunately happens to be the closest pet store to me.
I've got geckos to feed I don't have the time or money to throw away wasting it on crickets that almost melt within 8+ hours.
I have no issue with the workers at this location they are the best group of individuals I've had the pleasure of meeting.
But this is getting a bit more than unpleasant.
Crickets are highly sensitive to ammonia levels and if you didn't know when crickets die they release ammonia. So one or two die most follow very soon. if you don't want to waste money and live as far as I do or more DO NOT PURCHASE THE PRE BAGGED CRICKETS (especially if there are a few dead.)
About 5-10 of the 40 mediums I purchased are still moving. Not well enough to trigger a feeding response in my animals though and you shouldn't feed sickly crickets to reptiles anyway.
