I never write reviews about a business or company but unfortunately I would like to make everyone aware of this apartment complex. 1st I pay almost $1200 a month in rent for absolutely nothing . The gates never work , I feel unsafe knowing anyone can just drive in , the pool is always closed even though I pay for” amenities “ , I pay for renters insurance in the rent though it doesn’t cover anything ! I put in a work order and it still has not got fixed since I first moved in !! My room had a leak in it and there was water all over my apartment about an inch everywhere my couches , clothes , bed , ect covered in water and tell me why I call the front office and the lady tells me the insurance doesn’t cover anything .BFFR

Do NOT move here! Stoneleigh Apartments are absolutely horrible. Gates are always broken, maintenance will have you waiting weeks before they show up, and the workers refuse to take accountability for their issues. The office workers are rude, unprofessional, and have made it uncomfortable to talk to them or bring up anything to their attention.
Make sure to keep all your money order receipts! Mine were entered in wrong by the property manager, after she confirmed the correct amount, and they tried to charge me late fees because of their mistake. Along with sending me an eviction notice. The issue wasn’t fixed until I had to call them AGAIN the next month when they tried to charge me extra, again, for not fixing their mistake.
These apartments are infested with mold. Look on the doorframes, outside etc. They just paint over it to make it look nice. Within a year of me moving in I had to throw out hundreds of dollars worth of things (including my couch, purses, shoes, clothes, cooking utensils, spices and even my picture frames) because they were covered in mold. The mold was in the cabinets, underneath the sinks, my windows, closet, storage unit, dresser, and on all the things I had to throw out. Let me emphasize the couch. Sylvia refused to use the word mold multiple times saying it was just mildew. They tried to gas light me saying that mold wasn’t an issue. & said I should have contacted maintenance before I cleaned or threw out my stuff out so they could test it. I’m pregnant and have pets, who knows how long I was breathing it in. It was beginning to make me sick! They knew about the mold I found for two weeks before I had to pester the office more than once about the issue.
I’ve asked for compensation and they refuse to take accountability for their problem that has severely affected me.
On top of all of this when they gladly extended my lease an extra 7 days and said no problem, they failed to tell me they would be changing my contract to month to month. Charging me with a ridiculous fee! Not to mention I never signed an agreement for that. I paid $400 in pro rated rent for just 7 days! That’s absolutely absurd. They will charge you for random things so make sure to check your account. They do not care about their residents, they only care about your money and their image.

I have lived here at Stoneleigh for almost two years and it has been a great place to call home! Sylvia & Crystal in the office are amazing! :)
Wanted to add Rob the maintenance man is wonderful and very helpful!

I changed my review based on the poor management not only seen by me but obviously from everyone else who has reviewed. I moved out in March of 2024, just received another statement today! Nearly 3 months after my move out date! Did I mention that my car was broken into 4 times while living here? I like to give Apartment complexes the benefit of the doubt since I am very familiar with the industry myself but the constant rotation of management, unorganized billing process and overall unsafe conditions has changed my mind. I do NOT recommend living under any property managed by GVA ever. Overpriced & they will cheat you out on every last penny you have. Beautiful property, sad it has gone to waste.

The only positive of this apartment complex as of recently is its location. It’s a fake gated community where the gates might be opening and closing properly a week during the year. I have lived here off and on for 7 years while in Corpus and this complex has gone down hill. Office management likes to pick and choose what to enforce in the lease contract and anything to deal with neighbors being disruptive is your price to pay to move. Don’t move to this place unless you get a top floor apartment and then you can do whatever you like without care. Posted is a picture in the lease where it mentions noise but you can call the courtesy officer, call the office, and go into the office to complain and nothing will change. Third night in a row while typing this of being up from 11:00 PM until I have to get ready for work at 6:00 AM because my upstairs neighbor feels like these are the best times to rearrange furniture, clean, play with the multiple dogs, and the list goes on.

If you love roaches this is the place to be…. They have hella roaches to include the Big Flying ones. I kept a clean house and had pest control come to my unit on a weekly basis. My wife and baby had to evacuate our apartment due to strong chemicals coming from a refurbished tub in the unit next door. GVA never reimbursed for the hotel cost btw. After all fees for parking trash water etc I was paying almost $1500 a month for a small 1 bedroom apt. My honest option the price is way to high and living conditions way to low. You can get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Make sure they mark your balance as paid when you move out!!! It is April and I'm just finding out my last payment from November was never marked as paid to their creditors!! Stoneleigh office workers have yet to apologize or take ownership for the fact they didn't do their due diligence in marking our account as paid. This has not only been affecting my credit, but also by S/O's credit, yet Stoneleigh had nothing to say for their mistake. Sylvia stated we made the payment at the end of November, but I have the bank statement saying it was pulled out of my account and dropped of on November 3rd - I also have a witness that was in the car when I dropped of the check that day. Regardless of this fact Sylvia, your office never filed the account as paid, and it is your team's fault that they did not mark it as paid. This should not even be a problem I have to be dealing with after being moved out for over 6 months.
I did have a great time living here - I lived in a studio that was well priced at the time. I didn't have any issues until after moving out. My only issue moving out was that our Lease Re-Sign letter should have been sent via e-mail like any other apartment I have lived at. Their maintenance team was great and always came by when needed and fixed issues in a timely manner.

This apartment complex is shady. Wouldnt recommended to even the most desperate of people.. Sent fees to collections after 15 days because I didn’t give move out notice in writing (I told them verbally). Now I owe over 2k and have no way to pay it. Opening a credit account just for this. Of course my fault but ANY communication at all would’ve been appreciated. But instead I had to call them to understand what was even happening. They didn’t reach out once.Other issues include the fact that I had a dead bird in my wall when I moved in and it took two FULL weeks to get maintenance in there. The smell was awful. I had to pay for a hotel for over two weeks with no reimbursement or even an apology from management.Leaking pipes caused mold to build up in the walls and they refused to have it fixed since I’d be “moving soon anyway”. So shady.All other apartments I’ve lived in, never been sent to collections in my life. Perfect credit up until this point. Don’t put yourself in a position to be taken advantage of and avoid this place.

Had a favor order here and didnt know they are on both sides of curtis clark... y'all need a sign that also says Stoneleigh apts on the right side of curtis clark for people who have trouble seeing at night. I assumed the whole right side of curtis clark was south pointe apts.Love the interior floor plans tho and the doggy parks this complex provides.

I️ have lived in my apartment for 8 months and haven’t had any problems! Leasing consultants are always so kind and have the best attitude when I️ need to get my packages from the front office! Our property Manager, Sylvia is the best! She is such an incredible and awesome person! Stoneleigh is probably one of the best complexes I️ have stayed with! I️ would 10/10 recommend moving into these units!
