Called ahead to make sure they accepted fedex packages was told they did. Then when got to the store was told they couldn’t take it because I have a QR code offered to email it to print out and was refused. Don’t take your packages here.

As a short-term visitor, I needed a reliable place to ship and pick up an important package. I called ahead and spoke to a friendly employee (Lisa?) who said I could simply ship a package there with my name and “Under the Care of The Postal Place” along with their address and could pickup for only $5. I specifically asked if it would be better to get a PO Box or if I needed a customer # and she said “no” and that she would leave a note in their system with my phone number so they would know to call when my package arrived. After getting confirmation it arrived at their facility, I didn’t receive a call, so I called next day and spoke with Amanda who was very rude and unprofessional from start to finish, saying there was no note left, nor did they never receive my package- that I should not have shipped anything there because it’s only a PO Box service. And then she proceeded to say “it’s a $5 pickup fee, you know that right?” I said “yes, that’s what I was told initially” (clearly needs to get her facts straight). She then revealed that there is another person with a PO Box there with same last name who may have picked it up. She was reluctant to agree to call this customer to rectify their mistake and didn’t want to take accountability. She kept talking over and interrupting me when I was explaining how was told I could ship to them, provided no special instructions, and pleading with her to call the other customer and ask them to bring my package back. Her co-worker, Christina overheard her arguing with me and took over the call and kindly agreed to call the other customer and call me back if/once they reached them. Ultimately and thankfully, she was able to reach them and they agreed to bring back my package right away! Regardless, no one should have to experience this stress and hassle. The Postal Place needs to improve their business practice and Amanda needs a lesson in proper customer service.

I decided to try this place after moving to corpus because of the positive reviews, and I have usually not been disappointed by the friendly service. However, after I began to wonder about rates being somewhat to significantly higher than I was comparing with USPS online for the USPS services I've been choosing I asked how they are determining their prices and was briefly explained in what a personally felt was an extremely rude manner that their prices are inflated in whatever way the owner chooses. So there's my review, a typically friendly and low stress place to mail that feels like they rob you blind on sending via USPS and aren't very transparent about it when making a sale. I will avoid mailing packages here in the future.

Arrived at 12:35PM and the sign said “Will return at 12:30”. After waiting 35 more minutes, a man came out and said they would be closed another 10 minutes due to a lunch break…. If you plan to be closed for an extended period of time, please mark the sign that way. I won’t be returning.

My favorite postal office! Though a small parking lot, I always find a parking spot. The desk clerks are patient (patience is a needed part to work with klutzy me). Always cheerful and helpful. Altogether they make the usually not so nice chore an enjoyable day!

Great customer service just stopped in on a Saturday to get packages mailed out last minute the lady at the counter printed off my shipping labels supply tape no charge super friendly will definitely be going back there

Before learning of this business I first went to the UPS Store to get a personal mail box. Wow I couldn't believe how much they wanted to set up the box and it's monthly cost! Then I found The Postal Place and I am glad I did! Their prices were a THIRD of the cost of the UPS Store! They offer the same services such as packaging and shipping plus you get other options of carriers such as FEDEX, and USPS.
