“Best small thrift shop in Corpus Christi. They check for quality, so you know what you're buying is worth the money. Prices are very reasonable, and the service is quite pleasant as well.
If you're a thrifter, this is the kind of story you love to go to again and again because it's always a positive experience. Even some of the medium-sized, cause based stores (like the Purple place) don't check out everything they're selling you and they don't give refunds!
Bonus, American thrift is located right next door to the Fruit King!!!

“I have never written a review before, but I had to for this place. I live all the way in Kansas City, MO and love antiques. Found this place while I was on vacation and they have such a broad collection!
The staff is super friendly, helpful and engaging! I went in twice during my stay. I believe it was AJ and Celeste there, if I caught their names right? Both were absolutely incredible, deserving of raises (if they hadn't got them already)!
The atmosphere is also wonderful. Good music is played and the store is well designed. Very cozy vibes.
Overall, absolutely 5 stars, I will be stopping back in when in town and if y'all ship, I'd be more than happy to pay shipping?”

“I had a very sweet experience with one of the volunteers at this shop. once I told Susanna that I was looking for a white dress, she went above and beyond for me and even found two dresses for me to try on. I left with a beautiful wedding dress for only $25! I also found the shoes for $12! I was extremely happy, and really appreciated Susanna’s help.”
“I browsed for work clothes here and found several nice pieces, including a Badgley Mischka shirt. Both of the employees were very friendly and helpful. The selection of clothing is geared a little more toward older women; it’s not a place that teens might flock to, except they do have a big selection of formal gowns and dresses for prom, etc. I highly recommend this store for browsing for a fun afternoon!”

I recently went on an adventure to EVERY SINGLE thrift store in Corpus Christi and I can say with certainty that this specific Goodwill was the best. They had the largest selection, it was all highly organized, and the prices were actual thrift store prices. The young man who checked us out was efficient and friendly. It was VERY busy when I visited (seems everyone else knows this is the place to be too!) and some pleasant songs were playing at a good volume.

“I love Once Upon a Child! I think the staff is very friendly including the owner or the store. I especially love making my tote bag on Tote Bag Tuesdays for a little bit of extra savings. My sons size is often hit or miss but that isnt their fault! Just waiting for a restock on 6-7 for boys once they get enough items in. I have never had a bad interaction with ANY staff member there whatsoever.”
