Stayed at this hotel on 11/15/24 checked out at 11/16/24. Initial check in was smooth, night shift receptionist was attentive. Rooms were clean, however kitchenette did not have cups, plates and silverware in drawer was dirty. The two stars are due to no breakfast at 8:15 a.m. When I asked the morning receptionist she said it happened every weekend. My question is, if they know their weekends are busy what measures have they taken to ensure they have enough sustenance for their guests? Clearly, none. Also they’re Mainstays sign is unlit at night and it you will miss the hotel if you’re checking in at night.

Great service. There was a leak and they accommodated me and loves me to a suite bigger than what I booked!

The hotel has been nicely renovated. The breakfast was not as good as other hotels. The eggs were dried out etc. The lights in the parking lot wasn't working so nothing was lit up which could be dangerous in the dark. The clerk said sometimes they work and sometimes they don't.
Rooms: The room had been renovated and was nice and clean.

MainStay in Cotulla, Texas, is one of my favorite hotels to visit. The hotel is constantly booked with oil field workers.

We were stranded in Cotulla because our car broke down for a week. The experience was a pleasant surprise. The rooms are very clean, the bed is comfortable, the kitchen is practical, the pool is very clean. The staff is very friendly and willing to support us. Everyone in front desk and housekeeping team. It is close to food and a small supermarket. 10/10.
Thank you for your time. We hope to return in other conditions. It's close to San Antonio, so it's a good option back to Mty.

Only complaint was the pool closes later on the weekend and my room was right next to the pool area so I heard all the commotion and had to work early morning

Back in September 2023, I had a bad experience with this place. 07/19/24 We had a good experience. Staff was nice, rooms were clean, overall everything was great.

Only stayed for one night but would definitely stay again and for a longer period of time. Easy and friendly check-in. Employee, Juan, checked us in. His customer service really stood out. He was friendly and helpful and answered all questions. Always available to help us out. Room was clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Nice and compact kitchen area as well. AC worked great. Not noisy at all.

Absolutely loved the stay, nobody bothered at all, had no issues with the room; the water was nice and warm in the shower and through the room, the kitchen is lovely and practical; I like that it had a dishwasher, the bed was soothing and the A/C just awesome. The guest laundry is on the first floor and very modern (They work with card instead of coin). I’m grateful to the girls in reception and to the maintenance gentleman for helping me during the stay, and primarily for teaching me how to use the washers cause I didn’t know. ???♀️
This hotel is definitely being saved as my go to for when I’m in the area ?
Rooms: The room was awesome, I personally liked it; think of a small studio apartment type.

I had very clean room it is comfortable but walls kind of thin someone was snoring next room I can hear it all night can’t sleep but people are good and rooms clean very good location to walk restaurants or shopping i definitely recommend it
Nearby activities: You can walk to truck stop they got almost everything including subway sandwiches there’s McDonald’s very close and stipes if you willing to walk more there more on other side Hiway

I wish I could have given this hotel a better review but the service was just so awful. Checking in/out was no hassle but anytime I needed something, nobody was around. It was literally a ghost town in there. Nobody flipped our room while we were gone. I came down to grab some extra toothpaste, towels, soap, etc. and couldn’t find one person. There was like 20 giant bugs in each light fixture. My husband was able to clean two of them. I loved the kitchenette. Full size fridge, dishwasher, mini stove, microwave and sink with garbage disposal. The bed smelled unwashed so I bought bed sanitizer to freshen it up. The bar was not in service. I don’t think they even had the complimentary breakfast going while I was there. Maybe I just came at the wrong time (Easter weekend). I saw maybe a total of 4 guests there during my stay. It was weird.
Lots of fast food and gas stations nearby. I may or may not be back. The other hotels nearby don’t seem to have great reviews. My parents own a ranch in Cotulla so I plan to visit more often.
Rooms: Full kitchen. Comes with pots/pans, cups, silverware, coffee maker.
Food and drinks: Gas stations and fast food within walking distance.
