Arlans use to be my favorite market, they use to have fresh meat, fresh everything but sadly the meat is rotten not only the meat almost everything is bad quality now we prefer drive a few more miles to HEB store .

Went to go look at the meat temperature was at 52 on the chicken told the butcher about it got a attitude towards me
Went downhill since it was sold the meat is sorry as hell Mexican beef bought pork chops pork from there they were so tough meat tenderizer didn't even help them thought I was going to have to go to the dentist afterwards my teeth hurt so bad from eating it my dog didn't even want it hamburger was full of fat warning you pay for what you get

So expensive! I cross referenced a lot of products to the closest HEB and other stores and they were each 61% - 69% marked up. Id be willing to pay more if it was a nicer store at least or was convenient with better products but it's a dingy little place with a very limited selection of groceries.

Place really went down hill since ownership. They literally changed every single thing it had going for it. All the management is gone, they axed the drink wall up front, meat market went from great to meh, Courtesy booth is crap, and I don't see any of are local youth working there anymore. Plus you cant park up front anymore because of all the barriers.
Those big urns of Oats and Nasty Hot Chocolate like what is that?

went way down hill after the change in ownership the produce and meat is always almost rotten and on edge and they changed all the staff to non locals. They used to carry a lot of higher end products things you couldnt even get at walmart or aldis now its all generic lower end grocery store products. before the change in ownership it was over priced but convenient kept you out of walmart now it is just terrible and overpriced.

Terrible.
They should have left it alone. Prices are awful. Food quality is terrible. I don't recommend even going there now.
Wish they would just put something else like Kroger or Brookshire brothers. To be honest, that whole shopping area is awful now we don't even go anymore.

No clue what is going on but someone is taking this store and driving it into the ground. I've shopped here for 18 years but won't step foot in the store again.

As a transient worker I prefer to spend my money where I earn it to support local business.
Arlans was my "go to" for a couple of years but since the ownership change I can't buy the things I want so I've been forced back into the crowds at HEB.
As it usually is with change, what's bad for one is good for another.
I haven't seen Terry the last few times I was there and I hope that's just coincidence. He's a great guy.

New owners making alot of changes, bakery is nice. Hate they took away the parking in front. Like the wider variety, they need to keep the fresh food section Fresh.
Best small town grocery, with the best fresh meat in crosby. Always friendly employees.

They have some hard to find items such as Creme brulee coffee creamer and Austex Chili. Don't recommend any of the packages meats though.
