Absolutely the best place to get your deer processed. They took good care of my animal and the meat cuts were perfect. The packaging is superior and it was ready within a week. This will be my processor from now on. I drove in from Abilene and they stayed upon late to accommodate me and we appreciated that very much. Customer service is top notch!

I was recommended by a friend for the snack sticks. Had cheddar and pepper jack make and both are great. I de-boned the meat before I took it in, which saved some money. Took 23lbs of meat in and got 36 pounds back ($366.00). That is a lot of snack sticks. They taste better than the ones I made last year.

I'm not a local so I just started calling everyone around the Trinity NWR. I got a nice buck on a Sunday and the Internet said most places were closed, but figured I'd give it a shot. Jackson's were the first ones to answer the phone so they got my business. So glad they answered! Got exactly what I wanted and they even rushed when I told them I was leaving town. They also gave me a military discount and I always support businesses who support us troops! If I ever hunt in the area again I won't hesitate to let them take care of my meat!

Poor attention to detail. I dropped off my deer and had them clean it for me so I should have good clean meat. Well I thawed out some Chilli Meat and some of the back strap and there was dirt and grass all over the back strap same as with the Chilli meat now I have to thaw out some sausage to do a quality check on it. Someone had a bad day I guess and now I am gonna pay for it with my meat this stinks.

Had Tamales and deer sausage made. The Tamales were spot on. The sausage were the waste of my deer meat. They handled my Elk years ago and it was perfection. Beautiful roast, sausage from the excess after roast. But the latest sausage was total garbage.

The first time I’ve ever used Jackson’s was this last deer season. I took one deer to them. I read the reviews prior to going and thought that some were just naysayers. I thought I’d try it anyway.I usually do chicken-fried venison with my steaks, so I requested them to be cut about 1/2” thick. I was told that the tenderized steaks would wind up about 1/2” thick. It did not. The steaks were anywhere from 3/4-1 1/2 inches thick. They didn’t cut off the silver skin and it’s not all cut across the grain. They took my tenderloins whole and just ran them through the tenderizer without even trimming off the silver skin or anything, then just threw them in with the rest of the steaks. I like my deer to be cleaned better than that!For what you get, as far as how clean the meat is, Jackson’s is expensive compared to others who do a better job.The packaging was great! It’s all vacuum sealed and frozen solid. The processing only took a few days, but then again, it wasn’t clean enough for my liking. It’s a big operation and it appears they have many employees (mostly teenagers). Some may be better than others, though. However, I’ll take my future process jobs to my other guy in Crosby, once they finish the road construction.

This is the worst deer sausage I have ever had. Its very dry, brown in the middle and has a taste of being old or freezer burnt. The green onion has no visible green onion. The Cajun is not spicy and super dry. Would not recommend this place to anyone

Jackson’s did an amazing job on cuts and packaging!! Wow! Processed full beef for us. Cuts and packaging were great! And they were very friendly and helpful when we arrived for pick up.My first time to use Jackson’s and I’ll be a repeat customer. They did an amazing job with cuts over previous well known processor I used.Thank you Jackson’s!!
