Steven and Cynthia are a fabulous team! You can't ask for better service. Repairs and rehairs look good as new and Cynthia repeatedly goes out of her way to support our school music program. Prices are so reasonable. And to top it off they are growing the next generation of luthiers to support North Texas for years to come. No matter where you are, it's worth the drive.

I would highly recommend them to anyone! They do amazing work, are very kind, and make it very affordable to rent and buy. I was blown away that 100% of our rental fees for the past several years all went towards being able to buy the violin outright upon reaching the 60% mark. The violins are great quality and I would only rent/buy from them for all future needs as well!

I visited to get my violin bow rehaired. It was such a quick process. I was able to wait, and it was done in just about an hour. The price is very reasonable, and it looks fantastic. I will definitely be returning in the future for any of my violin needs.

Oh my goodness!! This place is the absolute best. Much better (and closer to campus) than other ‘higher’ name violin shops. These people are not at all pushy, and cater to you from the moment you walk in!! Such a different experience than other places I’ve been. Not to mention, the sound of their instruments is absolutely STUNNING! I’m suuper picky, but it only took three violins to know exactly what I wanted. I could go on and on about how much I loved the experience of working with the Luthier Shop- thank you guys so much for an instrument to get me through auditions! ???

What a wonderful place. I needed a Cello for my son's school play and Luthier was kind enough to let me borrow 1. I was completely surprized. They went over and beyond to accommodate us and I am very grateful.

Absolutely fantastic experience. I came in as an adult beginner to purchase my first viola and was treated very kindly. We calmly tested and tried a handful of violas until I found the best one for me in the pricerange I could afford. As I was stretching my budget a bit I was even offered to buy a used case on the cheap until later, so that I could spend more on the bow.They are extremely knowledgeable, passionate and interested in the craft.5/5 will return whenever I need anything string related.

Luthier Steven T. Cundall and his wife have excellent customerservice and affordable prices at "The Luthier Shop" Him and his wife are both musicians (violist and violinist) and know exactly what needs to be done on a string instrument for it to be maintain in good playing condition. I am a retired orchestra teacher and a professional violinist and was very satisfied with the work they did!

I recently visited their place to rent a violin. They helped me rent a violin for good price. The family is so good and they are passionate about what they are doing. I really loved their service. Best place ever and I am so thankful to them.
