I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Will for some time, and my respect for him has only grown. Will, along with Jimmy, are the managers at 5 Speed Auto Repair, and their integrity, professionalism, and leadership set the tone for the entire shop. Together, they lead one of the best teams in Houston.
From the moment you walk in, you know this is not your average repair shop. The front office is spotless and inviting, and the shop itself is organized and well-kept. Will and Jimmy have built a culture where every technician treats your vehicle like it belongs to their own family—always putting safety first.
I recently brought my vehicle in for a squealing belt. Instead of just fixing that, Will offered a complete Preventive Maintenance Inspection to ensure my car was safe for my family. During that inspection, Jimmy’s team found a serious safety concern I didn’t even know existed. They invited me into the shop, showed me the exact problem, and explained it in clear terms. If I hadn’t stopped by that day, my family and I would have gone on our trip unaware of the danger.
The repair was completed in under two hours, and I waited comfortably in their front office, which felt more like a living room than a waiting area. That level of honesty, care, and efficiency is hard to find.
Will, Jimmy, and the entire 5 Speed Auto Repair team have earned my complete trust. They go above and beyond for every customer, and I wouldn’t take my vehicles anywhere else. If you want a shop with skill, integrity, and genuine customer care—this is the place.

Amazing work once again, came years ago for help got it on a different car came today for help on a new car and they went above and beyond 🙏 even came in with more parts to see if they would get the job done for me and they looked at the parts gave me a thumbs up and got right back to work. Also the quote they gave me was amazing compared to any other shop in a 15 min radius that I reached out to (I called around 20 shops within 3 days)

Terrible service. The staff is unprofessional and rude — it’s unbelievable that people like this are running a business. I asked to speak with the owner and was rudely told he won't be in until the end of the year. Don’t come here — it’s awful. There are much better places with polite and respectful staff.

Anytime someone asks who i recommend to do quality work with great service and reasonable rates I will always say 5 Speed Auto. My daughter loves her Rav 4 and they have kept her little car on the road and happy with the results. Thanks again like always!

I came in with a bad alternator due to my power steering line leaking onto my alternator. I asked for best case and worse case scenario (cost). Best case scenario was $330 and worse case was $1,100.
These gentlemen here kept their word and tightened up a bolt for me to stop the leak.
I walked out paying the BEST CASE SCENARIO. They could have easily told me the line was broken, or something else. BUT NO!
They were completely honest, and I was glad to walk out paying the $330.
Great group of mechanics And sales reps.

Highly recommend 5 Speed Auto and team they was able to figure out a wiring issue on my 99 Chevy Truck and have her back to me in just a couple days
Jimmy the owner was reasonable price with speedy service.. they will even come tow you if you need..

My family and I have been using 5 Speed Auto Repair since we moved to the Katy/Cypress area, and we have been pleased every time. Will is professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They do great work and are not in the business to rip people off. I've met several people who have been using 5 Speed Auto Repair for years and speak highly of them. This people just like to take money from people like we don’t work hard for the money , they took 1500 dollars from my son to fix the ac which my son took it more than 3 times and never was fix at the end they said have a leak on the compressor and need 1100 more to fix it . I live behind the shop

After reading these reviews I wish I have never took my car to them After an accident years ago. They took my car apart, didn't replace all of the things that needed to be replaced, took over a month to get my car back, also they did damage to my belt and took of my radiator cap so it will spill fluid and I would have to bring it back. I quickly noticed what they did and never took my car to them again, also about a month later I found out the didn't replace another part on my suspension which wind up costing me $4000. Don't recommend. The only thing is that they were friendly in the beginning but when they saw they couldn't finish their scam their actitudes changed.

I chose 5 speed collission because of their ratings!!! Despite the bad ones … AND LET ME TELL YOU ! IM GLAD I DID!!!? BEST SERVICE, UPDATES on the process of my vehicle and the customer service is on POINT!!!! Its a little hidden gem in cypress with reasonable pricing. Wishing them all the best this year with their business and hopefully nothing happens right but just incase I DEFINITELY WILL BE COMING TO THEM AGAIN!!!
