I have rented from Avis twice, but the exceptional service provided by Devon at the 12312 Barker Cypress, TX 77429 location is the main reason I continue to come back. From the moment I walk in, Devon greets me with a warm smile, professionalism, and genuine care for my needs.

Best price if you book through Costco Travel. Cars are newer and sometime you might get free upgrades. Only complaint is that they are very strict with filling up the gas tank. I witnessed the rep asking the lady to go and top it off after she just filled up the tank.

Stay away from this place - if they don’t have a car that you reserved it’s not their problem. Just check back another time - never got my car! Paid to Uber back and forth.

One of the Worst Rental Experiences I've Had
I’ve rented from this location frequently for work trips and have encountered a few issues in the past—like receiving cars that weren’t cleaned properly or waiting over an hour due to system issues. But this recent experience was by far the worst.
I arrived at 10:30 AM to pick up my reserved vehicle for a work trip, only to be told there were no cars available. Rather than contacting me directly, the staff claimed they tried to reach out to the travel agency. The onsite agent then told me to check back around noon, so I left my phone number for an update.
At 11:45 AM, I called to follow up, and was casually told to check back around 3 or 4 PM—well after my meeting in Austin would have already started. There was zero effort made to contact the customers whose vehicles were due back, and the agent made it clear he hadn't attempted to resolve the situation.
The customer service was unhelpful and showed no interest in problem-solving. While I’ve generally had good experiences with Avis overall, this particular franchise location is consistently unreliable. I strongly recommend avoiding it if you value your time and professionalism.

I recently rented a vehicle from Avis for the second time, and once again, the service was exceptional. I was assisted by Devon and Iyo, and both went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I was initially assigned a vehicle that didn’t feel quite right to me. When I shared this with Devon, he immediately understood and, along with Iyo, helped me choose another vehicle. They made sure it was freshly cleaned inside and out and ready to go.
Both Devon and Iyo were kind, patient, professional, and provided outstanding service with a smile. It’s rare to receive consistently excellent service, but both times I’ve rented from this location, I’ve been met with the same care and attention. Avis is lucky to have team members like Devon and Iyo, who truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do.
