I started crossfit at GBAR3 about 4 months ago. I am still beyond impressed with this gym. The owners Mike and Tracy have gone above and beyond to make this such a great experience for their members. I knew nothing about crossfit and have never worked out this way before. I'm 51 and my biggest concern was not injuring myself. The constant detailed instruction with each exercise is one of the first things that got my attention. You will not injure yourself if you are doing the proper form. After 4 months, I can't decide if I appreciate the positive effect this has had on me mentally or physically more. All of the people that work out here are super friendly, positive, encouraging and fun. I can't say enough positive things about GBAR3!

I joined this gym mid October. I knew nothing about CrossFit and was not in my best shape coming in. However none of that matter because, Coach Mike, along with the other coaches, were/are very supportive with beginners. I enjoy coming to workout even on the days I don’t want to workout. I get a lot out of my 1 hour and feel good after each time! Highly recommend this gym!

Family members have been pushing me to get into CrossFit for years now, and I finally took the leap about a month ago. So far, I'm addicted. The staff at GBAR3 are very helpful, the members are very friendly, and the environment is very welcoming. It's been a great experience. If you're on the fence, come give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

I joined GBAR3 about 3 months ago and love every minute of it. I am new to CrossFit and was hesitant in joining. Mike and several of class members have been nothing but first class in helping get adjusted, learning the right techniques and executing the workouts. If you are looking for a gym to help you reach your goals, GBAR3 is the place to go!

I’ve been attending GBar3 CrossFit classes for almost 6 months now, and I don’t regret it for a second! I’ve been to other commercial gyms before so this was my first time trying CrossFit, and let me say, if you are wanting to get in shape this is the place for you! I’ve seen tremendous results so quick in the short time I’ve been going. The facility is clean and organized, the coaches are fantastic, and the workouts are challenging! Thank you GBar3!!

I have been a member of CrossFit gbar3 for 2 months now. The guidance I have received has been invaluable. I have seen more progress in the 2 months here than I ever have at any other gym in my life. To be honest I was intimidated to even join CrossFit. I was not familiar with the lifts and my personal fitness was at an all time low. But Mike works with all people of all levels, and has scales to ensure that every skill level can complete the workouts. The focus is on proper technique and solid form. It’s literally like having a personal trainer every single day. When I first started I got last place every single day and I was among the weakest in the room..haha that hasn’t changed, but the progress I have seen has made it all worth it. I look like a completely different person in just 8 weeks. Mikes direction doesn’t end with the workouts either. He has offered me several nutritional tips that have allowed me to make a complete lifestyle change. I can’t thank these guys enough. And look forward to the year ahead. Top notch facility, top notch guidance, and genuinely good people. Would recommend!

"I recently joined CrossFit GBar3 and have been thoroughly impressed with the experience. The community here is incredibly welcoming, making it a great environment for someone like me who is older and working on my fitness journey. The workouts are a unique blend of exercises that are both challenging and adaptable. Despite having limited mobility in my knee and ankle due to a skiing accident and its resultant hardware, Coach Mike and Tracy have been phenomenal in helping me modify exercises. This personalized attention ensures I can participate fully without risking injury. What stands out most is the lack of judgment and the supportive atmosphere. No matter how long it takes me to finish the workout of the day, I always feel comfortable and encouraged by others - a testament to the inclusive spirit of CrossFit GBar3. Hearing others' fitness transformations has been inspiring, and it's clear that this gym caters to all levels of fitness. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a supportive, adaptive, and friendly place to get fit!"

Crossfit is a sport I have grown to love heavily. However, I entered the sport very blind. I had no idea a feeling that kept lingering of discomfort and unacceptance would have me up one early morning, trying to gather answers for the way I felt... Those answers finally came through for me.After years of competitive gymnastics, cheerleading, and fitness, I realized I finally, too, I have landed myself in an unfamiliar position or environment that I have never known. I met prejudice and racism for the first time happening before my eyes.I joined Crossfit GBar3 right off top. Coach Mike was very warm and seemed interested in meeting me and my daughter's goals. I had all intentions on being a member with no expectations of leaving... I realized I jumped into something I didn't do further research on. Honestly, I didn't think I had to.What it comes down to, is what's happening BEHIND THE SCENES. I noticed the coaches at this gym do not speak to you unless they "know" you or "want" to. There are 5 coaches that assist Mike. I have several years of coaching behind me, and not ever have I known a coach to not voluntarily interact with new people. Coaching requires passion, something you can not TEACH. It simply pours from you willingly.I pulled Coach Mike over to the side very early when I started the gym to express how I wanted to be there, but his coaching staff was not very welcoming. He explained that everything I had said was very valid and also how HE FELT. He also said he would fire all his coaches if this continues... unfortunately, it did. They need "social training". At the same time, I also believe your staff follows your lead. They do what their ALLOWED. As that can be said throughout the human experience. There was an incident that occurred on a Saturday workout that involved minority members and a coach. The coach at the time did not include these members in the workout on purpose. The coach did not efficiently set up a station for them. One of the members were very disturbed and let me know. I too had my own issues, so again I reached out to Coach Mike via text to talk to him with expressing some of the issues. No feedback. When I saw him next he came over and we spoke. I expressed again about the coaches and the incident that happened while he was away from the gym for a week.We had another conversation, and again, I was told the same thing.Bottom line, this is not a serious matter in his eyes. I expressed that he must look at the gym from my perspective and others that do not look like him. I must say there's a nice Latino community within and they seem to be just fine. Also, there are coaches that look like them and welcome them.I've decided it's best for my daughter and I to part ways and continue our crossfit journey elsewhere. I understand that there are not a lot of black and brown people, but I have come to learn there are other gyms out there that will welcome me, rather than just tolerate "my kind".I send much love to those who made sure my daughter and I felt apart of the GBar community and their kindness was on display daily. It never waivered. Yet, its not their responsibility.I had no problem being one of the only blacks. I must give the two black men credit I saw once. Color has never been an issue for me, nor have I ever been an issue and won't be made to feel like I am now. BEHIND MY SMILE WAS ALOT OF SADDNESS.May this review enlighten Coach Mike and bring Coach Tracy's guiding light back in the gym. I have faith in her ability to do so. For some reason, I believe its been there. Gaining new members is great, but there's nothing like gaining new members that stick. Especially those that don't fit the norm.I would also refrain from discussing the the debate during class. Keep the atmosphere positive and equal for all.Peace and love. Thank you for the experience ?️ I will continue to be a voice for the unheard and unseen ?~Ray

I didn't like going to the gym or exercising, I found it boring and unmotivated, but 3 months ago I woke up with lower back pain that I couldn't move and literally couldn't walk, my family took me to ER and they gave a very strong medicine that kept me sleeping for 1 week, and I decided that I needed to take care of my health and that I have to exercise. So I decided sign up somewhere to work out and I was trying a couple of places that did not satisfy me, until I found Crossfit Gbar3 and I loved it, Mike the couch and the other coaches have the skill, patience, dedication and professionalism with each one of us, is not boring anymore. If you are looking to do Crossfit, this is the best place, 100% recommended.Pd. Since then, I haven't had another back pain problem.

Great box ! The people are super friendly, the workouts are challenging, and the facility is clean. Also the gym has great airflow, due to the way it’s designed. It’s not as humid or stifling as the previous CrossFit gym I used to attend ! Honorable mention to Coach Mike. You can tell he truly cares about your fitness journey, and is accommodating to any level of athlete.

Been doing CrossFit for 6.5 years; I’m almost 53 but still a serious athlete. CrossFit helps me maintain my strength and endurance, and it really helps me with my ice hockey. It also gives me a huge boost in confidence, and I love how it makes me look and feel. I loved my original CrossFit home (still have friends there), but I wanted to try something new. I LOVE GBAR3! Very clean facility, well maintained equipment, inviting space, and great music playlist! The best part is the EXCELLENT coaching (the new and super clean bathrooms (cleaner than Buccee’s) are a major plus too!). The owner, Mike, is very personable and friendly…he and all the coaches take the time to get to know your specific needs and goals, and they work with you to help you achieve them. I’ve made some great new friends too at GBAR3, and they are fun and supportive. Through the years, I’ve worked out at a few very well run boxes, and GBAR3 is right up there among the best! Highly recommend!
