I wish I was here to write a positive review, but unfortunately, this might’ve been the worst haircut I’ve ever received. I came in to donate 12 inches of hair through the Wigs for Kids program, but I ended up getting much more cut off (close to 20 inches after trimming). The two ladies working at the salon were sweet, but they seemed unfamiliar with the donation program. Hair should be sectioned into at least 4 parts (or even more for thick hair like mine), but during my cut, my hairdresser, Joana, haphazardly split my hair into two sections and tied them back loosely with one rubber band at the top (not even hair ties! See attached picture). These rubber bands were placed higher than 12 inches, then when she cut the sections, she proceeded to cut them very unevenly and much above the rubber band (cutting a total of over 16 inches from one of the sections).
The trimming afterwards was decent, and while not an inherently horrible cut, it was NOT what I requested nor what fits my face shape. I ended up with a blunt bob right above the shoulders when I was expecting a layered cut between my shoulder blades. During the cut, Joana told me my hair was “so dry” and I should use leave-in conditioner (yes, I’m low maintenance with my hair so I knew that already, but I’d been growing my hair out for many years so it was bound to be a little dead, and the whole salon didn’t need to know that). At least my hair is virgin (never dyed, bleached, or permed, and rarely heat treated with straighteners, curlers, or even blow dryers).
Once my cut was over, they returned my hair to me in a Great Clips bag and provided the form and envelope to ship it out, but in other locations I’ve previously been to, they wrapped the hair in tissue paper and placed it in a ziploc bag per the Wigs for Kids guidelines. Hopefully the hair is still fit for donation since it never touched the ground. In the end, I was still required to pay for the haircut although Great Clips offers free haircuts when donating (per their own website). When I asked about this, the ladies told me the free cut only applied when shaving off the entire head for cancer donations (which is not true in my experience nor what their website says, see photo). Safe to say I quickly paid and left to cry in the car. I do not plan to return.

I'm glad my hair looks okay (though uneven despite being an easy cut) but my scalp isn't. I truly don't know why but on my recent visit, the lady was vicious with the razor. She left my head scratched and rubbed so raw it burns days later. I'm pretty sure they teach you how to be gentle when going to school to be a stylist so I need to ask, WHY? It was like going to the lady at the Sports Clips next to Kroger on Town Lake years back-... Maybe it was her????? 👀 Anyway, not only was she mean to my scalp she was unprofessional and rude during conversation. Don't talk about other customers in the establishment and don't try to sell stuff to one customer when you're really trying to sell it to the person they came with. She insulted two customers in one fell swoop. Congrats.

My daughter received her first haircut from Jana and it was an easy, quick and nice experience. Super clean. Jana made my daughter feel comfortable. She even gave me hair tips I wasn’t aware of. My daughter loves her haircut and so do I!

SOMEONE GIVE TAMMY A RAISEEEE. she was SO sweet, SO gentle, and she did an AMAZING job. I wish I could give her ten stars because holy crap my hair looks soo good. I have naturally very fine hair but there is alot of it. I have always kept my hair short and went in today for just a trim. She was so so so gentle I almost fell asleep sitting upright in her chair. My hair has NEVER looked this good, perfect layering, perfect length, and she listened to everything I said. Again, GIVE THIS GIRLL A RAISEEE.

The person that did me didn't listen to me very well. Wasn't very good. Just started straight with the hair trimmel.
Basically, giving me a buzz cut.
Rushed and hardly put any effort into her job. do not recommend whatsoever
