The WORST college I have ever dealt with!!! All departments are useless to speak with. I can't even speak with my own advisor. They pass me off to someone else to take the call. When you email them or speak with any department, they pass you off to another department too. Usually the wrong one, then no one answers. They don't return your VMs. They withhold very important information on enrolling and financial aid so when you set everything up thinking you're good to go, they end up stealing money out of your pocket. I already received my Associate here. They didn't even do a virtual graduation...They just put your name on a screen on a youtube video. And now they completely messed me up from being able to take 2 classes that I need to start my bachelor degree at another university. smh. It's happened too many times with this college. I once got charged a $30 fee because for some reason they couldn't take their auto-payment from my account. An account I had plenty of funds in. This college is a complete mess no matter which branch you speak with. You're supposed to be helping students succeed! That's your job. instead, they place blame and their mistakes on the students. And they don't care to fix it.

Im only giving it 3 stars because the school and professors are not that bad, I graduated with an associate from here in 2017 and 2 degrees so far after this community college. However, you need to do your own research before you see them, the advisors are useless, and if you have more advanced questions than they are prepared to answer, they start giving you misleading information and I was shocked so I asked for the manager. This was in 2015 spring, A skinny black lady with a horse looking face and teeth came into this office and she pointed me to a general associate that wouldn’t allow me to get a job once you finish, and my question was I wanted to get a job after the associate then will transfer to a university and study part time. I took my 18 yr old son, I saw both ladies there, the manager and the advisor who was also black. Its a shame to see black people misleading black people just because they are behind the desk right now. However, now I probably make X2 what they make, and it has nothing to do with their stupid advise.

Lone Star College boasts impressive campus buildings and a well-equipped library. The campus architecture is modern, offering a conducive environment for learning with spacious classrooms and advanced facilities. The library stands out with its extensive collection of books, online resources, and study areas, providing students with ample resources for research and study. The comfortable ambiance and technological resources make it a hub for academic growth and exploration.

By far the worst communication I’ve ever experienced in my entire life with any institution from those that work financial aid and collections.I spent 5 hours up at the college to resolve an issue to be sent back and forth because NO ONE could figure out how my financial aid was all of the sudden repealed with zero notice or reason at all.I’ve sent email after email to get my issue resolved, AND went in person and they still will not work with me.I’m now trying to further my education at an institution that actually values my time and proper communication, and they cannot retrieve my transcripts because Lone Star placed a hold on my account and I cannot get a phone call or email answered to save my life.If you’re considering Lone Star, please consider alternative options.

I hate state testing here!! The process is so slow!!! Geez! From checkin in to the processing. Every state testing facility does the same process but here, IT TAKES FOREVER FOR NO REASON!! I’ve went other places and everything is processed and moved right along! I hope if I get licensed again they have more places to go than here! Then I got so mad today because the lady looks at myScore and I mean I passed but still, it’s none of your business or concern to flip my paper over! U can take it from the printer to the counter! They just move so slow and unnecessary here! UGH!! DISASTER! I hope I don’t have to go back here to state test! Ridiculous

Can't ever get a hold of anyone especially in financial aid. Even through email I was told "This email will not be responded to." You aren't able to get your off campus book financial aid if you took summer classes even though most professors don't go through the Lonestar book store.

Possibly the worst college experience I've had. The classes and professors are fine, but the advising department is completely incompetent. It was a constant battle to try and communicate with these people, who acted like they couldn't care less about your situation. I was lead on to believe I would be graduating until they notified me last minute of a missing surprise elective (which I WAS enrolled in and they insisted I drop). Don't expect professionalism or timely communication with this department. I understand there is a lot on their plate, but the blatant misinformation they give their students is baffling.

There are many good things about Lone Star College.Lonestar College has many good Professors/course classes to choose from in each class. Also, there are many beautiful campuses close to where I live. I finished my AA year ago, but I have missed this school. I wish there are more bachelor's degrees in Lonestar.

This is a beautiful campus we always come here to visit the library and also the place is very clean and organized. I usually take runs around the lake and the bike trail because it has a very nice shaded areas to run and bike

They are a joke. MOST of the administration up there can't be bothered with you, so if you have any issues, don't waste your breath. They are cheap for a reason: no one goes there because they couldn't care less as to whether you go to their college or not. They are awful and I'm very thankful I already received my degree and have a clue of how to do things and how things are suppose to go, otherwise if this was my first time I would probably be in tears after all of the hoops, rude people and bs they've been running me through. I would probably be discouraged to ever try again. They are saying they are going to cancel my classes because they wouldn't take my 1st aid, so I redid it and they stuck it in the wrong place so I had to call and MAKE them find it, now, because they are taking their sweet time processing it (2 weeks if not more), they are going to cancel my classes. At this point I almost don't care, but now it's too late to go anywhere else for the summer.
