If the girls at the bill pay center thing didn't want to help me they could have just said that...... how tf you expect me to have a bill for prepaid lights bffr....and they rude. Pissed me off and messed up my day.

The worse customer service I ever experienced. As much as I want to support this business, the people that works here have an attitude and looks down at minorities. HEB or Kroger is close by and have better and fresher meat, fruits and vegetables selections.

So I am glad I came to this place I was only coming here because my mother in law wanted plantains and Kroger didn't have them. Anyways I walked in and was not greeted but who cares anyways I was shy anyways. So I walked to the produce and wowwww all the produce was fresh and by color and was beautiful wish I was coming for peppers. So I walked around found the spices and found out they are huge and I found the onion and garlic powder they're huge I got excited. Walked to the meat to see if they had lamb chops because my husband said they didn't and no other place I can find them guess what a whole section of them. I bought some to freeze. I will be back

Please if your looking to buy ANY MEATS from this place don't! We bought over 200$ worth of meat to last us a month and I can't be the only one complaining about the awful awful smell and discoloration the meat has! Will be going tomorrow with every meat we've bought and giving everyone updates! This is very dangerous for a food store to be selling rotten food! I'm not talking about one item I'm talking about all of our meat is rotten after putting it straight in the freezer after we bought it and defrosting it overnight in the fridge never had a problem with doing it that way in the past till this month that we shopped at food town

I am honored and pleased to comment on my experience with Food Town and this store in particular.This is not my only grocery store, but one of my favorites for quite a few reasons. First and foremost they have a very motivated crew with an amazingly positive attitude! Both towards their customers and amongst themselves. Commendable also towards management. They have quite a large selection for the size store and have always fresh produce, great specials, very nice meat selection, priced very competitively, fresh fruits and vegetables and also specialties. I am not sure it is appropriate to provide my opinion on the few negative comments that were made so I will not. But please take those on their merrit. Enough said.

At the time I wrote my first review the employees had masks, but they were around their necks not being used. There was no one cleaning carts nor any cleaning supplies accessible to customers. While Foodtown may have had policies in place the management at the Eldridge store was not following the guidelines. The next time I went to the store the Shields were up and the employees were wearing masks but the carts were still not being cleaned and no cleaning supplies for customers were visible, plus there were no baskets on the right side of the store. They were all in the parking lot.

This is a run down store. It looks dumpy, it is dumpy. Now, I have never had bad service from this store, but I really wish I didn't have to shop there (I live close and there are times I don't have time to go to another store). I've been to this store literally hundreds of times over the last 20 years. The produce is average to horrible in general. A few weeks back they had a shipment of bananas that looked like each one had been personally beaten with a stick! I couldn't find a good one in the whole batch. I've also gotten hamburger meat there dozens of times, and every time it's been gristley. It's not horrible, but it's not good. It's bad enough that I never buy meat there anymore. The prices are generally average. There's nothing special about the store except that they do have some unusual things, like cactus. If you have a choice, I'd suggest somewhere else. It's not horrible, it's just not good.

Quality meats. Fresh produce. I have been to many grocery stores in the United States and I have never seen carrots that big. They have a very large selection of produce. Things you'd think they wouldn't have too. We're visiting here from South Louisiana and I was pleasantly surprised that they had a lot of Louisiana seasoning and products. Zatarain's to be exact, is pretty much a hometown staple for me. The only drawback for me is they didn't have Blue Runner red beans. There are a lot of Mexican products which we love. As well as the biggest carrots I've ever seen in my life.

What can I say about Food Town it is run down and the fruits that we bought all got bad within a few days. I honestly wish that the people who own Food Town would clean it up and remodel it.

Price are good. Is in old shopping center ; they don't have too much sections but I go there for cocunts and meats. They do have good price. The cashier seem to be overworked . The line was long and only two cashier was open.

Wouldn't let me pay my bill the same day it was due it wasn't late and they still couldn't accept it never paying bills here again and the customer service is horrible guy was on the phone 5 minuets before he turned my bill done

They do have some good deals on their produce and meat sometimes. But their dairy &dry goods prices are OUTRAGEOUS. $3.50 for a gallon of milk (cheapest). Ive also found a lot of expired dairy products on the shelves, so be sure to double check the dates. When checking out, be sure to watch the register. Sometimes the sale prices don't ring up, and they can accidently overcharge you (my cousin bought 4 rolls of paper towels & they keyed in a quantity of 44....). They are quick to fix any problems though, as long as you bring it to their attention.

I love to come to the supermarket because you can always find some really good deals. The protos is always fresh and I've never seen a baked potato so big in my life. Everything always seems very put together and clean.. did I mention the deals that you can find here. Definitely don't overlook this place been coming here for years.. The staff is always very attentive and kind.
