About Daingerfield State Park
Daingerfield State Park is a beautiful and family-friendly destination in east Texas, offering a variety of outdoor activities. The park features clean and well-maintained restrooms and picnic areas, some shaded for comfort during hot days. Visitors can enjoy fishing from the spacious docks, swimming, kayaking, paddle boating, and even floating island dock adventures on a lovely lake. The park also provides playgrounds with swings, making it suitable for all ages. Its trails are well-maintained and perfect for walking or hiking, with opportunities to see local critters, including wildlife like Western Pygmy Rattlesnakes, so wearing boots and long pants is recommended. The area is quiet, especially on weekdays, and offers lakeside trailer and day-use spaces for visitors who want to stay longer. Dogs are welcome on leashes, and visitors are encouraged to keep the park clean by picking up after their pets. Overall, Daingerfield State Park is a peaceful, scenic spot ideal for picnics, family outings, and outdoor recreation, supporting its upkeep through the purchase of Texas state park passes.

Beautiful, pretty empty on Sunday until church lets out!I would go back constantly if it wasn't 3 hours away from me!Hidden gem.Saw a bunch of critters we don't have near DFW.Nearly stepped on a Western Pygmy Rattlesnake.I suggest boots and long pants for the hikes because of this!
