Allsup's Convenience Store offers hot foods, cold and hot drinks, snacks, alcohol, diesel fuel, ATM access, and restrooms, including their world famous burrito. Staff are consistently noted as friendly, super nice, and helpful, providing great customer service. However, this location faces significant maintenance issues. Corporate refuses to fix persistent plumbing problems leading to backed-up toilets, coolers that frequently fail for months, and computer glitches affecting gas pumps, registers, and checkout speed. These problems cause store overstock and service interruptions. Despite these operational challenges, the staff remains dedicated and helpful to customers.
This is a charming place. The food in the hot case was fresh and fully stocked. The gal was super friendly and fully embodied the kindness, courtesy and charm for which Texas is known. What a great introduction to this chain.
