We had the unfortunate experience that our movers subcontracted to this company without our permission or input, and these guys messed all of our items up. They didn't use a single moving blanket, and it was clear there was no care taken for our things. We've got damaged everything. On top of that, we had a binding estimate for door to door pickup and delivery, with furniture disassembly and re-assembly included. Once they have all your things taken away from you, they state that if a semi truck doesn't fit to your door you actually have to pay for a shuttle service which is a huge rip off ($600 it would have been in our case). They make the claim that there is "no way to tell" if a semi will fit until they try, so it's standard that that has to be the method of delivery. We know better (we work a lot more complicated logistics than this in our own professional lives) and you can easily figure this out using the delivery address, especially if your customer told you it would not fit (which we absolutely did). Without the shuttle service you need to go rent a truck yourselves and then get another moving company to help you unload. They make you pay for the entire balance of your contract before you see the state that it is in, and before you are even able to check that it is indeed all there, which in this case it wasn't. We feel scammed with lot of broken and damaged items, it was not worth the money. Next time we will be micromanaging local movers to load our own truck with our nicest stuff, and hiring local movers on the other end to help unload, and shrinking and wrapping all of our stuff ourselves. This was a horrible experience and we are so upset with the state of our belongings, do not use this company.

these people are lousy company. they don't know how to treat people they are the worst. When we hired them to move in, they were charging us for money as if we were going to rob them. the worst company does not treat the customer well, they are terrible. especially Angel Cruz.

I would NOT recommend using this company. The guy (Mike) who came to my house to move my stuff, immediately increased my cubic feet by 20%, which obviously increased my bill by 20%. He told me if I didn't agree to the 20% increase that he and his truck would leave. He also tried charging me $150 for moving supplies, even though the quote clearly stated that all supplies are included. When I showed him that the quote said "moving blankets are included", he tried claiming that that didn't include furniture covers. I had to explain to him that this wasn't my first time moving and that I was well aware that "moving blankets" and "furniture covers" are exactly the same thing. This was by far the shadiest moving experience that I've ever dealt with. I'm sure you can find a better company in the Dallas area.

This was the best move I have had and I move often! Cory was able to work with my specific and unique situation. He was quick to respond to all my questions. Upon arrival he already anticipated my moving needs. They were quick and didn't scratch the floors or furniture. Thanks guys!

Horrible!!! Do not use this company! Their quotes are a lie to get there foot in the door.then charge you what ever they want! The actual price was 700 more than what they quoted. Then I called the company and they said basically Pay it or pay a 800 cancellation fee then hung up.. I filed with consumer affairs.. this company is robbing people and they think they can get away with it. This blows my mind that they are getting away with these things!

I scheduled a move through Alpha Moving & Storage - alphamoveonline.com that has very good reviews online, which is why I chose them. On the day of packing I had three individuals come to my home that worked for A List Movers dallastexasmovingservices.com and told me they were the same company. A list mover however, have no reviews online and due to this I would have never used them. Regardless, the guys seemed nice enough so I moved forward with them. Two of these movers worked hard throughout the day however, one of them was on the phone a lot of the time and seemed a little "off" to me. That evening, when moving boxes around and getting things ready for the move the following day, my wife noticed our camera bag was missing. We began opening every box and searching through to find it. The next day when the same movers arrived the one that was "off" the previous day did not show up for work. I explained the situation and we all began, again, looking through boxes. After talking with them it turns out the guy was not a regular employee of either Alpha moving or A list movers and was brought in last minute. He had his own bag which I was told he began to empty out toward the end of the day and the other guys did not know why. This person stole our camera and accessories which were valued almost $2000. Both companies were responsive initially and talked about filing a claim and making this right but to date nothing has come of this, at all. I am now out the money for the move $1200 and the money for the camera and its accessories. Although the men that showed up seemed to be good people, I cannot recommend this company or their services as they rely on third parties to get involved when needed that are not background checked or known quantities. The experience otherwise was good and the men worked hard to get me moved and packed/wrapped my items better than any mover I have used in the past. I wish I could give them a good review, hopefully this is an isolated incident but regardless, I feel it is my duty to share my experience.

I've moved a lot in my life and there are two things I look for in a mover.... Be respectful of my things- take care when packing and moving. And most importantly, don't pack the trash bag hanging on the kitchen door (it happens more than you know). These guys were great, nice guys, careful with my stuff and not a single bag of trash was packed. Winner!

Now that i have unpacked all of the boxes Alpha Moving and Storage had packed and moved for my family, I thought I would review them. I waited until everything was unpacked, just to make sure I could give a fair review. Alpha packed up our 5 bedroom house in June and moved our items in to storage. What came out of storage was a bunch of collapsed boxes, because none of the boxes had been packed full or reinforced with any kind of packing material--including all of my china, which had been wrapped in nothing but paper in a large, 3/4 full box. Alpha took all of the items out of all of the drawers--whether it was a small, lightweight end table or a desk with easily removable drawers. In 9 moves, I have never had a mover do that. AND the items that were removed from the drawers were just dumped into a box; all the contents of my teenage daughter's desk and dresser were upended into a garment box--the largest of the large boxes, impossible to get to the bottom of without dumping it all out. Same with all of our garage items; just dumped into three large garment boxes, regardless of the contents. Hats crushed, mementos scratched and dinged because no care was taken to wrap anything. I really wanted to like Alpha because the rep who came out to give me the estimate was awesome; obviously, she talked a good game. The crews who were at the house--for three days!--were definitely subpar. I asked them to recheck the boxes after the first day, as I had seen how many of them had been packed. While the foreman said it was done, that was definitely not the case. I am so glad I cancelled Alpha for our move out of storage--the results of the the move-in were disastrous. Even the plastic bins that had survived 4 moves over 10 years didn't make it through unbroken. Don't use Alpha if you want a company who is professional and cares about your belongings; they definitely don't.

I am a realtor and have used Alpha Moving and Storage on a previous move. The first time they were fantastic. This time we moved in June, and the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Almost every piece of wood furniture I own is damaged. I stopped the job foreman a few minutes after they started loading our furniture to ask why they were not wrapping and taping each piece. They were literally moving wood furniture out the door on a dolley with no protection. SCRATCHES GALORE!!! The foreman and the workers argued and talked to me behind the others backs all day. I wasn't sure who was telling the truth about how the job got so messed up. As they are unloading my items at the new house, I notice my white mattress is black on the bottom and there are dried leaves hanging off of it. When I asked why the job foreman replied "let's be honest, how old is this mattress?" Thats funny, I didn't know he could determine which of my items were worth more and treat the others like nothing. They also scratched our brand new wood floors we had installed two days prior at the new house. Because I had used the company before, I was willing to consider this an isolated incident and at the recommendation of the office project manager I filed a claim to get some of my money back in lieu of damaged furniture. I filled out all the paperwork and took all of the pictures they asked for and sent it all to them. I thought for sure they would take good care of me because I have sent them several new clients over the past year, right?? Wrong, they avoid all my phone calls now, won't reply to any of my emails and never return my voicemails left. One day I called from my number and got no answer, so I called right back from my husbands number and Janice answered right away. Before our conversation was over, she asked if she could add this number to my account. I'm guessing so when it shows up on Caller ID they know to avoid that one as well. For a company that relies mainly on word of mouth for advertisement you would think they would have better relations with some of their front line means of business, realtors. Do yourselves a favor and choose a different moving company!

Beware... Alpha Moving canceled our move less than 24 hours before our scheduled move date, which I set up weeks in advance. They also overcharged us for our first move with them and have yet to reimburse us. They showed up more than an hour late on our first move and some of our furniture was damaged. Customer service is non-exisitent.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE (X2) If i could give a negative star i would. Stated off on a decent foot. paid for 4 hours up front ($400+). said i was moving form a 3BR apartment with a garage full of stuff to a 5 bedroom house... contract said unlimited pads and they use up to 3 rolls of tape to wrap my furniture... but i could go get some more just in case so they wouldnt hit me with an additional $3 per roll... so i went and bought some more to make sure the furniture was wrapped well... Day of the move, i am supposed to get a call when they are leaving the dispatch to make ready... got a call when they were at my gate... oh well... at least theyre here... crew was nice, but the truck was a small Budget rental... much smaller than discussed.. and i immediatley knew this was going to be a multiple trip move... good thing we were moving only a few miles away... open the back of the truck and the unlimited pads meant NO pads...now im ticked, but there's nothing i can do... load up the truck (twice) and get the stuff moved... while loading i was asked by the movers (in between a smoke break) for my own blankets (luckily i had some) and boxes to lay flat over the solid wood furniture... Driver calls servie and found out they had sent our truck and crew to another job. Service was going to call me the next business day to "make it right", but they were going to stop the clock for the drive time... (a whopping 10 mins) and i never heard back. We finished the move 15 mins early (even with the added drive time) so i was expecting a 25 minute chargeback (around $45). wanted to discuss the lack of preparation but was just told that i would be getitng a 45 minute (TOTAL) chargeback for the issues... but it would take 3-5 business days for it to show. 2 things... 1) they are saying the lack of preparedness and the bare furniture hitting my walls (at least 5-6 places i had to touch up) was only worth $30... and i am on day 9 and have seen nothing crediting my card.

WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I have never had worse customer service. The men that moved me were EXTREMELY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. Their negative attitudes right out of the gate set the tone for the entire day. They sighed, whined, and moped around as if we weren't paying them. When I asked them a question they would walk past me and not acknowledge that I said something, when I asked them to put boxes in certain rooms they sighed, they tossed boxes down as if nothing would break (and trust me, things broke), they drug dirt and mud all over our new floors, and worst of all covered our new hardwoods in scratches. These men were so incredibly ignorant that I can't comprehend how Alpha Moving is still in business.

horrible company. They do not have any customer service. Movers where over 4 hours late and no communication at all. Our move was scheduled for the afternoon between 1-3. They called at 8:30am and said they would be there in 30 minutes then we got a call back and they said sorry you are not scheduled until afternoon wrong customer. So in turn we had the drivers phone number since there was no one in the office as their web site says. When they were not there at 1:30 we started calling. Would leave a message and no return call. Finally at 6:45pm we were at storage waiting on them and saw their truck go by and stop by stop sign and sit there again we started calling on the 3rd call they answered. My daughter asked where they were and they said at the storage and you are not here. She said yes we are you are not, I can see you setting at the stop sign. They finally came on. But I think if we would not have seen them they would have left. Then we asked for a discount since they were so late and nope you guessed it sorry. I called the office on Monday and it took several messages before anyone would answer. When they did all I got was sorry it should not have happened, I will call you back. Well they did not and I kept calling and leaving messages. 2 days later I get a call back. Still all I get was excuses and sorry. I will not ever use them again. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TO BAD IF WE ARE LATE AND NO COMMUNICATION. THEY EXPECT YOU TO JUST WAIT ON THEM AND WASTE YOU WHOLE DAY. IF THEY WOULD HAVE CALLED WE COULD UNDERSTAND BUT THEY DID NOT. BUNCH OF BULL

Review movers before choosing Alpha Moving and Storage moved us locally on July 12, 2013. Everything seemed to go pretty smoothly. However, we had a few pieces scratched and the office desk was broken during the move. After the move, I offered the crew a few drinks to thank them. We were standing outside by the garage. Someone stole my RayBan sunglasses that were on a table by the garage and left their cheap sunglasses. I followed up several times with multiple people at Alpha Moving and Storage to exchange the sunglasses to no avail. Nobody admitted to taking the RayBan's. Like I'm sure most people do during a move, we gave several items to the workers, including a 50 inch Plasma TV. As I stated, we moved on July 12, 2013. We are still waiting to hear anything regarding our damaged pieces. Be care who you choose, and review their claim process before choosing. Although the move was relatively smooth, at this time, I question the integrity of one, or more of the workers.
