Great selection of movies. If you're into classics, indie movies or anything off the beaten path.

Love this cinema's atmosphere. It has a 50s vibe to it which is really refreshing. The seats and screens/projectors are ok but could use an upgrade though. If you're ever in the area this is a must try. (At least once anyways.) I'll definitely be returning just for the Sinatra music.FIN ???

They had plenty of social distancing, hand sanitizer all over and even had a mask for me since i rode with a friend and forgot mine. The staff was friendly and helpful. My drink was pricey but i was appreciative that they had it available.

Actually we went to Hyena's comedy club behind this location at Mockingbird Station. and saw Pauly Shore live. We are long time fans and his live show was outstanding. (Sorry if this was no help for the Angelika Film Center & Cafe) or should i pull a Google and ask, (is this card useful: yes/no)

Good venue for a free movie with Yelp, Spies in Disguise. My daughter and I went to see Spies in Disguise. It is easy to find, even if you have to get on 75. There is a huge parking garage and many restaurants near by. Seats are super comfy. Employees were friendly early on Saturday morning. Due to its location, we won't go here often but I wouldn't mind returning.

Movie theater featuring independent & art films, plus upscale sandwiches, pastries, beer & wine.

For a restaurant in a swanky area, you'd think they'd lean into that a little more. Limited food options meant I had a pre-packaged club sandwich from their café, along with a $4 bottle of water. The small, old school theatre we were in was fine... except for the fact that sound and music from elsewhere kept drifting in, so there I am watching a dramatic, quiet foreign language film and hearing music trumpeting in from the doorway. I was disappointed by this - avoiding sound pollution seems pretty important in a theatre? - but have no complaints about the actual sound quality of the movie I was watching.

The Angelika is where you go to see all of the artsy fartsy films. My hubby and I always look for "leaves". You know, the seal approval that the film won at Cannes....leaves! The Angelika makes a point of showing these films and many others. Yes, you might need to read subtitles because foreign flicks are often shown here too. This theater is right on the DART line. It's literally footsteps away from the train platform to the front door of the theater. It's so convenient. I wish I lived on the Dart line just so I could take advantage of how convenient it is. If you don't, don't fret. Free parking is across the street and plentiful. The theater concessions has the usual popcorn and soda, but you can also buy beer and wine here too. The auditoriums are unfortunately not state of the art. The seats are a little small, but the cushions are supportive. They don't recline, and there is no swing table for setting your food and drink. Some of the drink holders on the arm rests are broken or wonky enough that you fear putting your drink into them. It's definitely not a first class experience, but tolerable to see that "hard-to-get-anywhere-else" film you've been anxious to see.

Been visiting the Angelika for about 15 years now. It's my go to for my indie movie obsession! Plus, it's one of the few places that signing up for the mailing list is WELL WORTH IT! Tons of early free screenings!

The best films are shown here. I just saw a delightful film called Knives Out with Daniel Craig. He is remarkable.

One of my favorite theaters. It isn't usually packed with a bunch of people talking through the movie. On top of that they will have movies other theaters don't risk playing. Check it out.

Used to come here as a kid. I visited recently to see Dark Waters and it still has the same laid back vibe. Perfect for a chill date night and in close proximity to the shops at Mockingbird. Easily accessible off 75 or via DART.

We love everything about this movie theater! Audience is usually more mature and quieter than many theaters. Great location and free parking.

Omg!!! This yelp event was so kool and unique. I was beat since I worked late the night before but still made an effort to go and oh boi, am I happy I did :) So it's an animation movie called: Spies in disguise. I advise everyone to watch it. I laughed so hard, cried, got frightened , this movie does it all. So unexpected. The secret agent (Will smith) turns into a pigeon by his nerdy coworker and they are traveling across the world trying to save it from the bad guy (Tom Holland) Very entertaining, funny, smart. My fav was the kitty powder, haha, everyone loves kitties right??? This movie makes you think, don't judge people, you don't know what they went through. Be kind and helpful. I'm so happy I could see Spies in disguise before the entire world. We had this showing just for us before Christmas. Again, lucky to be an Elite ;)

First time coming here last night and had heard good things. We were in Theatre 3 and it was HOT! I don't know if they even had any A/C running, but because it was so humid the theatre also had a very funny smell to it. Our waters that we got didnt stay cold for more than 5 mins, and by the end of the movie were hot as well. Prices were decent but we will not be returning due to the atmosphere.

So happy that the USA Film Festival holds most of their events at this well run theater. Always a friendly, courteous staff and shows movies that you won't see anywhere else. Lots of free parking and the concessions are exceptional - they even have a decent wine list! If you want a personal experience where you can feel appreciated, this is the place for you.

Great Movie! The staff were stellar. Plenty of parking at Mockingbird station. I appreciate the restrooms were clean. The only thing is that the chairs don't fold up. So any time someone walks out of the row you all have to get up and move. I think because the movie house needs updating on seats.

Been here before, during Mavericks and cowboys season they show the games on the screen. Well at least that was a while back dont know if they still fo that. Intimate theater with just a couple screens. For the most part their showings consist of independent films. They show bix office movies as well but I guess they choose which ones. Awesome place they have two stations to purchase your theatre goodies. Beer and wine is also available, I love that they offer local breweries. This visit was with my daughter for a special screening of an upcoming film...thank to YELP by the way for the opportunity. Wonderful experience and will definey continue to get my business.

It was absolutely, outrageously expensive, even by movie theater standards. A complete rip off. I won't ever go there again. There are plenty of other places that are nicer & better priced

I came here with my GF for a Yelp early movie screening event on Saturday morning. It was a bit of a drive for us, and we were surprised by the large amount of traffic in the early morning. Fortunately, there is a huge parking lot near Angelika with ample spots. When you walk inside Angelika, the interior has a lot of natural lighting and is very welcoming. The concession prices are about average for a movie theater, and I wish we got to try out their popcorn. Unfortunately, the theater does suffer from a fatal flaw in that it is old and the seats need to be updated. Angelika still has cloth seats, which makes them a bit dated because they are not as comfortable as other plush seats in rival theaters. Overall, once Angelika updates the quality of their movie theater seats, I'm sure a lot more customers will be flocking to them.

The Angelika Film Center is one of the best movie theater experiences I've had in a long time. It's kept clean, the staff is great and the sound volume is perfect. They even have staff members standing about through out the movie to make sure everyone follows simple movie theater etiquette. Fives stars.

First time visiting this location for an event and it was pretty decent. I definitely would go again. Lots of parking, next to a rail line, toms of food options nearby. I want to come back to see what it's like at night
