Pretty in and out so not much staff interaction. The beef ribs were good, so was the turkey. They forgot our potatoe salad, and the deviled eggs were absolutely trash! Sorry not sorry the filing taste like powder eggs or protein powder mixed with sweet relish and the egg white part was old the outside was rubbery. If your a real brisket person ( not Texas BBQ ) this aint it ….. sausage was good baked potato was ok as well.

Just got a 1/2 pound of lean brisket. The nice part was they cut the fat off the top . The sad part was the brisket had little flavor and surprisingly no smoke smell on it . It did have a smoke ring on it but no smoke smell like u would expect from being on a smoker . Fairly priced but not that good . To bad I was in the mood for brisket and still am but not here again . This was my 2nd time here just to give it another chance but disappointed again . The bbq sauce was strong of vinegar taste and that's about it . Had a little kick to it . Paid $14 for half pound . Nice people here and pretty cashier but brisket was a dissatisfaction of flavor .

Portions are way too small. Overall price was way too high. Dont waste your time if youre actually hungry. If you want a snack its fine.

I had order the #3 family meal. I was disappointed with the portions. The rolls weren't even fresh kind of hard. It was for my daughter's bday dinner. I even asked if I can get some sides from the self serving area and I believe it was either the manager or owner hovering over to see what we were taking. I'm never going back.

Can you just smoked your meat and not add the sauce. I hate the sauce on the meat.

The best atmosphere for a BBQ place! Very friendly and efficient service. The whole restaurant was very clean. Only $15 for a chopped brisket sandwich with two sides. The chopped brisket was good! It is pre-sauced though. The okra is great and in a large serving! I really liked the coleslaw as well. The spicy sauce is great but I'm not a fan of Carolina style so I didn't give that one a try. Easy to get to location off Inwood with a good sized parking lot. I recommend you try this place if you're looking for a local BBQ lunch.

This BBQ restaurant has such a rich history along with some of the most amazing BBQ I have ate here in Dallas. I been to all of the popular and to be blunt overhyped restaurants around Dallas. Big Al Smokehouse BBQ hits all the right spots, great customer service, Texan ambiance, some of the best Mac N Cheese I have ever tasted and of course one of the most delicious BBQ! I tried the ribs, chopped beef and all of the slides. This place deserves to be jam packed everyday. Ditch the overhyped, waiting in line for hours, and decent BBQ. Try this one out you won’t regret it!

I got the meat lovers plate, and the portions were not as big as I expected. I guess one slice of brisket is considered “one meat.” The chicken was ok, beef rib was good, jalapeño sausage was very skinny, and the brisket was good. But the sides were the most disappointing. The mashed potatoes tasted like water, no cream or seasoning, the macaroni didn’t have any cheese, just pepper, and the deviled eggs were sweet. It’s just not what I’m used to. Now will say the fried okra and beans were good, but I reckon someone needs to bring their grandma into the kitchen and let them know what’s gone wrong, because something just ain’t right. The staff was kind, and the free warm BBQ sauce, pickle bar, and free ice cream were great definitely perks of the experience. I highly recommend their Memphis BBQ sauce. Probably won’t be back though. Ferris Wheeler’s and Sonny Bryan’s will suffice.Vegetarian options: Lots of sides to choose from
