I can’t say enough good things about Carlos at Brake Stop. From the moment our car arrived, we were treated with respect, honesty, and professionalism. Our car had an issue that was going to be expensive, no way around it. Carlos took the time to clearly explain what was wrong and what needed immediate attention, and what could safely wait — no pressure, no upselling, just straightforward, trustworthy advice.
The work was completed on time (sooner than expected, actually), and the quality was outstanding. I paid exactly what was quoted — no surprise charges.
It’s very rare these days to find a shop that is trustworthy and combines high-quality repairs with exceptional customer service. Great experience. Carlos was very personable and I felt that I could trust him. They did great work replacing brake pads and rotors for a good price. Would reccomend and will certainly be coming back.

I’ve been coming here ever since I first moved to Dallas 3 years ago, and I won’t take my car anywhere else. They’ve always been honest, fair, and never try to take advantage of me—something I especially value as a woman. One time my car completely stopped working on the outskirts of Dallas, and instead of using a shop nearby, I waited until the next day to have it towed all the way here because I trust them that much. Their service is reliable, straightforward, and always done with integrity.

I can't recommend this car shop highly enough! The mechanics here are some of the most honest, fair, and friendly individuals I've ever encountered. I've been bringing my car here for years, and I'm incredibly grateful for their kindness and integrity.
For instance, I once took my car to Kwick Kar on Fitzhugh for an inspection. They told me my car passed but claimed I needed a front-end brake job and quoted me an outrageous price. I decided to get a second opinion at Brake Stop, where I received a much more reasonable quote along with excellent service.
Another time, my car was bouncing when I started it. I dropped off the keys and left the car in the lot at the brake stop. The next morning, Carlos called to inform me that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle; a plastic bag had somehow gotten stuck in the engine.
I can't emphasize enough the honesty and integrity of this shop. They truly care about their customers!

i went in for an emissions inspection and the service was absolutely fantastic. carlos was awesome and i got my car back pretty quickly. i would definitely recommend going here.

This is only place I will go, I have probably $2,000 worth of tools, I use to do everything myself . Now I am approaching 60 and I am busy but biggest issue is carpal tunnel syndrome and surgery. So I needed a place and I gave this place a chance and they did me right,and got it fixed. Now it's been a couple years and this is only place I will go, I have learned that there are so many shade tree mechanics here in Dallas that just are not up-to-date with newer vehicles. Have been very happy with work performed.
