Avoid this place like the plague. I booked a car and when I arrived to pick up they stated that they did not know where my car was or when it was would be available. The man at the desk also said that just because you book a car doesn't mean that they'll have it for you?? I'm now missing an important family event. Customer service was also completely useless and did nothing to resolve the situation

The downtown location is great place to rent in Dallas. The service is prompt and friendly.

Great location, these reviews that tell you otherwise are just grumpy folks that don’t understand policies. If you make a reservation within 24 hours the cars aren’t guaranteed unless you’re at the airport (the employees will still try their best if they have a car to get you one). But if you make a reservation for this location in advance your rental car will always be there. The staff at this store is extremely accommodating and will try their best to get you what you need, they even gave me a low cost upgrade to an SUV when I did not book that, it was really nice of them.

PLEASE AVOID THIS LOCATION!!! Do not make reservations at this location by calling the number listed for this location Hyatt Regency 300 Reunion Blvd.!! They have a scam going where you agree to a reservation and when you show up they force an upgrade. On top of that they are extremely rude!!! The rep man (400lb man) at this location as well as the “owner” are horrible. Avoid this location and go directly to Love Field airport, which is the next closest spot. Also, if you make, & pay for a reservation in advance as I did, this Hyatt regency location does NOT HONOR pre made reservations! This location is a hybrid of Avis & Budget and owner based. Budget will have to refund your money & that will take days. They are a separate co. Not Budget!PLEASE AVOID THIS LOCATION!!!

i arrived just at 6pm to drop off the car ( at the end of working hours ) and the employee at the counter checked in my car very fast and kind. no extra charges.

I rented from this hybrid Avis/Budget location a couple of times before with no serious issues. However, this recent time will be my last. After making an online reservation, they declined my driver's license stating it was "invalid" when there is literally nothing wrong with it. Being a Sunday I couldn't call the DMV to verify so I had to call a friend to get the rental for me. The next business day, Monday, I verified with the DMV (after being on hold for two hours) and they told me what I already know - nothing is wrong with my license (I rented from another company a few days after this with ZERO issues). I was charged the additional driver fee for the duration of the rental and at drop-off, they incorrectly input the wrong time and I got charged extra. I showed up in-person and the time was adjusted, but the license issue was never addressed. The manager was supposed to call me and that never happened. It was all a scheme to make more money and just one inconvenience after another. I do not recommend.

My experience at this location was less than 1 star. The employee who helped us at this location was named Carmelita, I believe & she did nothing short of lie to us regarding getting a car rental. I reserved a car at this location through Expedia & my husband & I flew in from out of state. We were relying on this rental & she did not care to help us one bit, most likely because we got there a few minutes before she closed. She was happy to leave us stranded inside of this hotel with no transportation just so she could get home 10 minutes earlier. There was issues with the address on my husbands valid government issued ID because of a previous OR state practice of putting a sticker over the old address when you moved. Since the address on the sticker was wore off, Carmelita & her "boss" refused to honor the rental under his name. Even if we took the sticker off to show the original print on the license. The sticker on the back of the license has the address, but the last 2 digits of the zip code were worn off, so she could do "nothing."I tried to put the rental under my name & here's where the lie comes in... She told me that no rental car company in TX will rent a car to someone under the age of 26, even if you're willing to pay an extra fee. After Ubering to a new Budget location, they were able to honor our original reservation & put it under my name for an additional fee. This is the only thing saved our trip. I do not have a problem with budget, I have a problem with a business that doesn't care if they leave a customer stranded on the side of the road. These people, including the management, simply did not want to help. It was unbelievable & the worst experience we have ever had getting a rental car.If you have had a bad experience at this location, please write a review to spare others of the headache of trying to do business with these people who couldn't care less. I wish I read reviews of this location before reserving here.

I rented a car through Budget in mid January it was extremely important to secure the car to go out of state and I wasn't sure at the exact time possibly an hour later than planned that I would be able to pick it up . Therefore I paid for the rental in full 3 days in advance. Minutes before my son arrived to take me to get the car, Budget called me and said that they had over booked, I asked them what that meant for me? Thinking possibly they would offer a different vehicle as I had rented an SUV and it was paid for, however this is what they told me" I suggest that you start calling around and find yourself another vehicle to rent " I was shocked ! It doesn't get any more unprofessional than this .I did find one at the Hyatt,and I was happy to get it even though the interior could have been cleaner , trash , missing a floor mat etc and the exterior was fairly scratched up . Perhaps that is what you get with BudgetRegardless my experience was not good overall and I would not recommend or use them again.
